I take it you have to beat the area's boss. Once you hit level 3 in the area you might as well keep going. That's what I'm doing. Your plane friend can help distract them. Also carry a rocket launcher at all times when you're at level 3.

Anyone know if there's a way to recover a fighter? I accidentally let go of the first one I met.

Just started playing. Funny thing happened while I was about to attack a group. When I let my fighter go, he said, "OK well let me know if you need my help." The group heard him and began opening fire on me. Funny, but what he said made me wonder if I can recover him.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

There's a timeout, but when it expires you can recover them in the roster tab of the menu.

Could be that they weren’t fully dead. I’ve shot several guys multiple times before and gravely injured them. They clung to life until their homeboy came over and healed them.

I've only heard of about 4 of those songs.

                  Re: Far Cry 5

This game is gonna be as bad as Wildlands was for me. It took me two months to beat Wildlands because I spent as much time doing nothing but exploring every nook and cranny across every square foot of the map on foot as I did traveling in a vehicle, helicopter or airplane or attempting to clear outposts and complete missions.

So far, roughly 8 to 10 hours into the FC5, I've only explored the tutorial island and the areas immediately east, south and southwest of the island.

I wandered a bit up the road into Faith's region and discovered two places, but primarily kept hanging around the mounted gun up the road from the bridge near the island, racking up kills, destroying vehicles and killing animals for their skins, then running part way down the hill to visit the hunter to sell the skins and buy more ammo. That was literally the entirety of my Friday night in the game.

Last night, spent another hour or two in that same area, then talked to and met Faith, "woke up" near the prison so I ran over there, helped defend it and unlocked a bunch of missions. Headed back to that hillside near the starting island and eventually crossed the bridge into the hills near Boomer's place. And then proceeded to spend 4 hours roaming the hill killing deer, bears, cougars, doing a prepper stash and literally an hour doing nothing but standing on a dock trout fishing. Catch 5 trout, sell them to the fisherman next to me, catch 5 more trout, sell them, repeat for an hour, with occasional breaks in between to buy attachments for my rifle and sniper rifle.

Despite spending half the night right in the hills behind Boomer's place, still never made it over there to unlock him. Maybe sometime Sunday, lol. I did spend a little bit of time in a helicopter and a water plane I found, but for the most part, I couldn't care less about vehicles. I've spent 99% of my time hoofing it on foot. While I have been attacked by 5 or 6 cougars and 3 or 4 bears in that time, my random hired gun has helped me stay alive during my cross country adventures.

So already roughly 10 hours into the game, and eyeballing it, I've discovered maybe 2-3% of the map, basically the land immediately around the southern half of the starting island, the prison in Faith's region and the hills behind Boomer's location. Maybe I'll manage to beat it by May, lol.

One thing I found interesting is how much is really going on in this game. You can just be standing by the road then all of a sudden all hell breaks loose. Peggie's, Animals, and Civilians are all over the place. This game is perfect for the ADD gamer.

This game has it ALL. Visually stunning, amazing action and an interesting story. Currently down in John’s region just plugging along in side missions with the occasional story tied in.

Not sure I’m going in the right order or anything but man is it a blast

From what I read doing John's region first is the way to go.

Ubisoft has really managed to get to the point of mastering the open world gaming genre. As someone who plays almost exclusively modern open-world games, Ubisoft games are great for me. Other than GTA (which takes forever to wait for), Ubisoft games are the only ones I can enjoy for for months and months. WD2 is amazing to me, and I'd like to play FC5 and GRW at some point as well.

It would have been tough if I had to rely on Rockstar Games exclusively. Ubisoft always comes to the rescue.

Yeah, Ubisoft has made a ton of money off of me over the years. Going clear back to the PS1 and 2 days, the Armored Core series, the Brothers in Arms series, pretty much every Assassin's Creed game ever released, Far Cry 3, 4, 5 and Primal, Grandia 1 and 2 all the way back on the PS1 and PS2, Rocksmith, RUSE, the Silent Hunter series on PC, the South Park games, Steep, The Division, HAWX 1 and 2, the Ghost Recon series, the Rainbow 6 series, the Splinter Cell series, Watch Dogs 1 and 2 and the World in Conflict PC games.

I have probably owned and played more Ubisoft games than any other publisher's. While they've had some busts over the years, generally their games are well done and always a ton of fun, and over recent years, as games by and large have become more open world, they've been massive. I've been at home in games like FC5 and Wildlands with the massive maps they've had.

It's gotten to the point that any open world shooter that Ubisoft releases is a guaranteed buy at some point, either first day or not long after.
