I haven't. I thought I read somewhere this could be tied to where you are in the story though.

It doesn’t seem to be as bad as it was, today, so maybe it’s gone or at least reduced.

I guess it depends what "better" means to each one of us when it comes to FC. I don't think most people expect a FC game to go for more realism, it's probably more about lots of action and great bad guys. I enjoyed FC1, though I'm not sure I ever finished it (my dad did and he loved that game).

I think FC2 is almost like a stand-alone game, it doesn't represent the typical FC game too well these days. I didn't get the chance to play FC 3/4/5, but from all I have seen, it doesn't look like 2 would fit in well.

Anyway, I loved 2 and played it through twice.

That video only shows what 2 had that 5 doesn't have. Some of those features would be great to have in every new FC game and most games these days, but it doesn't really mean 5 is worse than 2. There's a huge amount of things the series has added since 2 that really make all of the games better each iteration and that's coming from someone who put more hours into 2 than I probably put into 3 and 4 combined. 4 I still have yet to beat. I can't get into it enough to play for more than 30 minutes at a time, but it still improved on 2 in so many ways even if it was lacking things 2 had.

You are right. 2 was lacking in some aspects. I didn't care for the setting, I thought the world was pretty boring, as well as the "story". But I did enjoy the action and the little touches that made it more challenging. I remember seeing a video of the fire system for the first time, and I loved it, it was a great addition.

Treated myself to a beautiful copper/mahogany finish 45/70 hunting rifle. I am in love with this game and the Montana setting. I seriously spend as much time fishing and hunting as I do bringing down the Cult.

I am in Holland Valley and Falls End right now and my plan is to take out each region 100% before moving on to the next.

Current side mission is the "Free Larry" branch.

                    This game is simply awesome.

I've heard the 45/70 isn't nearly as powerful as it should be. Haven't tried it myself.

I find the weapon selection and difference to be sorely lacking compared to other Far Cry games. There doesn't seem to be any incentive to getting more weapons, and as it was mentioned sometimes the attachments you can add don't even make sense sometimes. The special weapons aren't even different from their counterparts. They dropped the ball a bit on weapons in this game.

If there is a flaw you just pointed it out. The weapon selection is pretty bare bones this time out. But I also think it has to do with the setting. My Sniper Rifle, 45 Magnum, AR and now this hunting rifle get the job done. Also the Shotgun is simply....a shotgun. The throwables (grenades, dynamite), sling shot, and other explosives give you other options of destruction and carnage. I think the game shines in environments, setting and I am digging all the vehicles.

You know....I take a lot of pride in that. In 2004 I took a Franklin Covey training session for 2 days. It was called 'What Matters Most".

It changed my life. I really learned how to balance my day and I also trained my clientele on when I am available and when I am not. When I have any new prospective client I want to know their expectations up front, but I also want them to know mine. If we can agree then we will work together. If we can't....then we won't. I have turned away multi million dollar clients because they demanded I be on call after market hours and on weekends. I simply told them that will never happen in my practice and thank you..You simply need a different kind of adviser/portfolio manager who is willing to do that.

Now granted it took me 15 years to get to that point of being able to really choose my clients and fire older ones who simply did not respect my work/life balance. But it is really rewarding where my practice is now. It took 15 years of sweat equity to get here....and also I have a partner which makes it even easier. I sacrificed 50% of the revenue.....but the price of having more free time for my family and leisure life is priceless and worth every dollar I have given up. We have a great partnership. He is able to travel abroad every summer, we split Fridays each week, it is great.

I feel blessed. Plus it helps that I love my work. Very fortunate to have something I am passionate about be the way I earn my living. Not many people can say that.
