•It's the first Far Cry game set in America.
•It's also playable on PS4 Pro and Project Scorpio.
•You can play the entire story solo or in two-player co-op.
•You play as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana, players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden's Gate.
•Protagonist is customizable meaning you can choose gender and skin color.
•Antagonist's name is Joseph Seed.
•You can fly planes and take part in aerial dogfights.
•Vehicles include American muscle cars, ATVs, boats, and big rigs.
•Weapons include guns, grenades, sledgehammers, and baseball bats.
•You can recruit other people to fight for you.
•You can also recruit animals like bears and cougars.
•There is a map editor that will have "new features that add a new dimension to the content created by fans."
•PS4 players are getting a free Far Cry 5 skin pack at launch.
•Ubisoft Montreal is leading development, with support from Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Kiev, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Reflections.

Not happy about the customizable protagonist. Prefer a preset character with a story and background. Even worse for me is that I'll never understand the point in creating a character that you can't see due to the game being in first person. I understand in regards to co-op and multi-player but solo, it makes no sense to me. Oh well. I love Far Cry and Ubisoft so it's easily a pre-order and day one pick up.

I'm assuming this game will have towers, outposts and side missions like the others? And loot chests and collectibles.

Not happy about the customizable protagonist. Prefer a preset character with a story and background. I love The Far Cry series and play these games to death and to completion. So much fun. IMO the best FPS sand box game series ever.

None of this is confirmed but I would assume so and im definitely hoping so. Love all that stuff. Excluding co-op missions, I completed everything 100%.

I disagree because if the story and character is based around a white male, how would a black female fit in? You're supposed to be a deputy sheriff and let's be honest, if it's a black male/female going into that cult's camp, he/she is getting lynched. A white guy, less likely. To me, it just doesn't fit.

Also, since the game is in first person, when playing solo, you can't see any of the customization whatsoever. You can't see the character's face/body type, outfit or the backpack/weapons, etc. the character is carrying.

One last aspect is my own theory. The main antagonist has four siblings but I have read about three of them being mentioned, two brothers and a half sister. I was thinking that the deputy would turn out to be the fourth sibling. Male/female I can see but in that environment and family lineage based on the characters in the game, can you really see that character being anything other than white? I can't.

Of course, this theory is just my own personal thinking since I haven't seen the fourth sibling mentioned. If the fourth sibling has been mentioned, please let me know. I also think that this would have been one hell of a twist at the end but since it's not a preset character, this probably won't happen.

Either way, im hyped and looking forward to E3 as im pretty certain Ubisoft will show a long gameplay walkthrough at their press conference.

I can't be the one that realizes the guy in the middle of the table looks like CM Punk and the guy on the left Daniel Bryan before he shaved right ?

Yea I have been wanting to get both 4 and primal just waiting for gamestop buy 2 sale

Interesting move by Ubisoft to have a game about religious fanatics in a real setting. Could have played it safe and made up a place like Kyrat.

Like I said they can make it so it doesn't matter. Either way your character is a threat to them so lynching a white man would be totally in line with what they seem to be going for.

So I assume Ubi Reflections is assisting with the vehicle system. Hopefully it's more like Driver SF. I never played The Crew, but for me Driver SF always seems the best (physics/handling/damage).

This looks awesome! Love the current time/setting. Plot makes me want to see what happens next already. Can see it getting very edgy and intense.

This might be the first AAA game where it will be against this sites TOS to actually discuss the plot in the game.
