    Re: Vampyr

I only got an hour into it last night before hitting the sack, but I enjoyed that hour. Not many games where I can stun an enemy with a wooden stake to the chest and then bite them and suck their blood. Lol.

Imo if you are on PS4 and like vampire games maybe wait for price drop or get it used.

        Because of the graphics?

It seems this game is more dialogue heavy, find out about people, and some fighting mixed in.

The controls feel kind of funky and combat feels weird. Navigating the dialog wheels feel kind of funky. On ps4 sometimes glitchy graphics. There is frequently long loading times also.

$60 just feels like a lot compared to other games that are the same price. (Like God of War)

I was going to post a video of random gameplay without commentary just to show what it plays like on ps4 pro, but didn't want to put any spoilers out there.

Just my opinion, some people loving are really loving this game.

I had hoped that this would fill my console gaming void that typically happens this time of year, but from what I've read and seen, I can't bring myself to buy it at the $60 price point.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I picked up the game during lunch today; excited to give it a go tonight.

                  Re: Vampyr

I'm still early in the game, but I'm enjoying it. Currently in the middle of chapter 2.

The fighting mechanics could be a little better, but I haven't had any major issues or annoyances with them. Graphics, eh, unlike people on Reddit or review writers for gaming sites, I don't get my panties in a twist over graphics. I don't expect games like Vampyr or State of Decay 2 and etc to all have top tier AAAA quality graphics.

So far for me, it's been worth the money.

                    Re: Vampyr

Same for me... the graphics on the One X are average and so is the combat but the story so far and RPG elements have been fantastic. I am loving the story so far.

I don't expect graphic patches but a frame rate fix during combat patch would be appreciated.

Finding your way around the city is a nightmare. Dead ends, locked gates, the lack of genuinely helpful directional cues.

I agree, this is very annoying. A golden trail like in Fable or something like that would be very helpful. Or at least the ability to bring up a map while playing/moving.

Wait, isn't this open world and you're saying there's no city map available to pull up?

It is but there is no mini map and no option to pull up on the fly. You have to pause the game to view. Would have been nice to view and move at same time. Especially since mentioned there are locked/closed off areas which don't appear on the map and at least for now, are misleading.

As Altimus said there is but it’s clunky.

The map itself gives no indication if all the various obstacles stopping players getting from a to b.
The final straw was me spending 39 minutes weaving through streets getting to an an objective. I got 5 metres away only to see a locked gate. I’d have to go around the map to get to it.

So a dumb question, I've put some decent hours into the game but haven't fed on anyone yet. However, I've found two people I want to now but can't figure out how to do it. I memorize them and lead them to a secluded area but get no option? Am I doing something wrong here?
