Standard MP is best in years. I have no hit detection issues and can take people down fairly. It’s not annoying like it used to be at all.

Shooting someone multiple times and then getting one shotted sounds like you are using an SMG from too far away or simply are shooting a guy with armor in the body and then he headshots you.

The mode will greatly determine how you handle these situations.

1) Standard multiplayer sniper rifle users can 1 tap people pretty quick, you have to make use of your speed and abilities, close the gap, and take them out in close. The disadvantage of sniper users is normally a weaker secondary weapon, if you can force a miss, don't hesitate, close during the reload, utilize your movement (slides, climbing, grapple gun), and finish in close.

Now with that said, sniper users are extremely annoying in regular multiplayer because of the limited routes available. Blackout's open map gives you plenty of options to solve the disadvantage, making it much less of an issue.

2) Blackout is a lot different. You can combat any situation utilizing the terrain & cover. If you are facing a Paladin and are out gunned at range, you want to land quick hits, get behind cover, and slowly wear them down. One thing to remember, take your time, pick the armor off, and make them use medical supplies. The last thing you want to do is stand toe to toe and exchange.

For me, my go to weapon in Blackout is the KN-57. It's very stable and hits harder than most of the assault rifles. You will find a lot of people running the ICR-7 as their main assault rifle and you will outclass them in every 1 v 1.

The important thing to consider is weapon hierarchy in Blackout. You might really like the feel of the Spitfire but if you come across a Maddox, you need to switch it out. The Spitfire will do 27 dmg while the Maddox is dealing 32 with a similar rate of fire.

COD's weapon damage hierarchy I'd expect will see some balancing tweaks as we go along and they gather data.

As with most MP/BR games head shots reign supreme. But they are especially important with the armor in Blackout. If you don't have armor and are going up against someone with any level of armor but especially 2 or 3 you're going to lose unless the other player is completely inept. At least that's been my experience so far.


This game has sucked me in though. I have that nonstop urge to play, last game that gave me that was BF4.

In hardcore multiplayer I'd lean more on the rate of fire side, since every weapon is going to hit for a 1 tap (Some SMGs hit for 2). So I'd shoot for volume over DMG consideration.

Maddox at 676 rate of fire with a DMG of 32 will kill in 1 hit = For speed
ICR-7 at 615 ROF with DMG of 37 = For stability
Cordite at 812 ROF with DMG of 27 (2 hit kill) = Large Mag for team wipes

Me to, it's the perfect mix of fun but also skillful gameplay. I'm liking all the modes so far.

I rarely use SMG's so it's not that. I checked reddit and hit detection on PC seems to be a common complaint.

I'll just have to place my shots better I guess.

Have to agree

I think people get mad they didn’t finish the job then say they got one shorted. When it this game you can’t really do anything like that

Yeah with a snipers, specialist, and kill streaks

Other wise you can’t. I’m talking about when people exaggerate and say some guy turned around with a AR and one shotted them

I was not enjoying my time playing core. I was having way too many shoot first and die experiences. I'd die behind coverage and around corners and it was just generally a bad experience.

I moved to Hardcore and have been reaping the rewards. Enjoying the experience on HC way more. My reflexes are usually much better than my opponents and I'm not afraid to rush around like an idiot and that catches a lot of people by surprise in a mode where everyone seems to play at a slower pace.

Maps are very good. The only one I really don't care for is Gridlock.

Ok well i am on console so it very well may be a different experience for you. I cant speak towards PC.

I’ll try and record a few rounds tomorrow if I have time.

I think part of the issue is the greater accuracy on PC. You watch some of the kill cams and it’s pinpoint headshots with any gun.

Yeah I didn’t get it on pc because all my friends are playing it on Xbox and I suck at keyboard and mouse but I love this game so much I’m gonna start doing singles blackout on it.

Not enough players on Xbox Asia region to get a consistent game but I’m sure it’s much better on PC since pubg was always full. Sometimes I have to wait 15 minutes for the room to fill up. I think also most Asia players are either Pc or Ps4.

Sounds like he is talking about lag or lag compensation. How is your internet? Sometimes it does feel like you get one shotted, but its just the lag. Been present in every COD I have played ever. It is frustrating no doubt. Also depends who is hosting. Some games are worse than others and sometimes it doesn't happen at all. Frustrating none the less. Keep at it brother, I feel like this COD is the best one in a while. Enjoy
