My plan for The Division 2 is to play through the base game, get to level 30, finish the stronghold to get it to World Tier 1 and unlock specializations. Once I do all that and the world changes over to the Black Tusk, I'll save my progress which is on Ubisoft's servers and im basically done until early next year once all the free content, the few DLC packs, the assignments, etc. is out. Doing this will allow me to play the game basically twice and by the time I play through the Black Tusk, we'll see what else is added to the game by then.

Plans could change though but I do want to play Sekiro and get ready for Days Gone and Rage 2 which are my top two games of 2019. As much as I love Ubisoft and am hyped for The Division 2, im not the kind of gamer that will play the same game for months on end. It's why I quit sports game (yeah, yeah, I know it's a sports site but I don't deal with that) years ago.

With that all said, I will go back to games later on when there's other content I want to play. For example, I'll go back to AC Odyssey this summer for the two expansions once they're fully completed but otherwise, nah. Not for me as I see staying with the same game for months on end straight as just a waste of my time because I did just that a long time ago.
I mean idk why I care what you do with your time/money but what's the point of selling it and then buying it again in a year?

Trade it in for $40 just to buy it again for $40, maybe $30, in another year? In total spending $70-80 when you could have it for just $60. If you want my advice, buy both games and play them as much as you want, whenever you want.

Because there's no guarantee that I'll buy it again. It could just be a one and done. If say early 2020 is stacked with a few games I want to play, I won't have the time which means I wouldn't play it again. Or it could be a summer 2020 game which in that case, would be a rental from GameFly as I usually rent games during the summer to catch up on my backlog because there's rarely if ever any new games that I want to play.

Anyone know where I can buy or find an ACR? That’s the gun I want to run thru this with.

I'm not sure I've seen one of those. I'm having a hard time replacing my M1A rifle. Hard to go pray and spray when I can just be accurate and do so much damage.

I found one early on just looting chests on the way to the white house . Quickly became obsolete obviously though.

This game seems much tougher on the solo player opposed to last time. The side missions were tough as hell for me in the first area. Got through them but it took multiple respawns to do a couple of them.

On to the second area tomorrow and I think I’m going to join people in free roam to do it because I had much more fun when I was playing in a group tonight. I tried doing everything solo except for the main missions and it got pretty tough. Events, side missions etc all seem to be meant to play with a team. Not that they are not possible alone though.

Got the gold edition so I could start playing today, which I did right after beating The Last of Us (great game, never played it until now). I can already tell after 4 hours or so that I'm going to love playing this, that is until Days Gone releases if im still not done by then.

Does anyone know what counts towards my progress as far as what I complete in another players lobby? I thought almost everything did but now I’m seeing people mention it might just be the main missions and safe house unlocks. It seems that if you help another player take a control point it doesn’t transfer to your map.

This is my experience so far and my one big complaint about the game.

It’s really a bummer. Especially if that is true for side missions too since there is not matchmaking for them.

It would appear it’s not true for side missions. The only thing that doesn’t carry over save wise is the control points. I’m fine with that. I just wish there was matchmaking for the side missions but I guess you just gotta get in a good free roam group.

I havent tried any side missions yet, I just did the Grand Washington main mission so far.

They were for me because I did them all solo. Honestly they are just not as fun solo as well. Something about saving a squad mate when those damn stun baton goons rush us is just rewarding for me. Always nice to have someone have your back and use your skills to play off each other.

They are pretty forgiving with the check points during side missions though so it’s mildly frustrating at the worst.

Are you sure the control point you took over didnt just change back? I took over the first one and a couple hours later it was taken back over by the hyenas.
