I'm playing light side. You guys playing dark side correct me if I'm wrong, but when I look at the potential dialogue options, the dark side options don't seem as varied and cerebral as the light side options. It seems very simplistic, stuff like "Time for you to die" "Obey me or suffer" I would like to see the dark side stuff be kind of "Magneto like" where there is a certain high level of charisma and deeply held convictions behind the "evil" acts.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever. -
Re: Did anybody get KOTOR II?
I just got it today and have played 2-3 hours so far. Its good fun and really enjoyable. Oh, and I'm totally going darkside! (with a name like Vilan could you go any other way?)You know, evil comes in many forms, be it a man-eating cow or Joseph Stalin. But you can't let the package hide the pudding. Evil is just plain bad! You don't cotton to it! You gotta smack it on the nose with the rolled up newspaper of goodness! Bad dog! Bad dog! -The Tick

Anyone try the Star Wars Republic Commando demo? It's pretty sweet...short, but I enjoyed it.Comment

Re: Did anybody get KOTOR II?
Theres a demo in there? LOL I never noticed. I'll have to check it out.
I'm dark side and it's great. I'm gonna do light side though next. So far I'm at hour 30 and still got a long way to go...i think.
One of the BEST dynamics in this one is 'influence' that you have over party members. Say for instance you're dark and you're talking to a companion. Well you want to be brach, arrogant, evil, etc. BUT sometimes that is a turnoff to some characters. I have one character who simple says, "Go away, I have nothing to say to you." now. This character HATES me, lol. But the evil ones love me and always compliment my won ton slaughter of innocents.
Also I heard that if you finish the game on both dark AND light that if you play it a third time the game is very much different. I'm gonna research that more. Either way, I gotta go back and vote for sleeper of the year cuz this one kinda got overshadowed by other games but it deserves some props.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Re: Did anybody get KOTOR II?
I got my copy a week ago, and it is amazing. First of all I have to state the obvious, if you didn't like the first one, dont pick it up. I really like this game, and I would have to say I liked the story (basic plot), and the endings better, but this game is incredible.
I say the basic plot because I think the first one had more of a dramatic plot, and ended up into a big clash at the end. I don't really want to spoil it because the plot twists really did throw me. The dialouge is so much better, it seems to be deeper, and more thought out. This is not a knock against the first, but rather the second one put much more emphasis into this category. Influence is a good feature, but I would get frustrated when I couldn't advance the story of a person farther, or got caught in an infinite loop with a character because no matter what the influence would not rise.
If there is one thing that I really love is the back story, and how you can change it. I don't want to blow too much of this, but that one tomb in Korriban was absolutely amazing, probably my favorite part of the game. I feel that the worlds are well designed as well, and that this game is the best RPG on the XBOX this year. I am on my second time through, and am still finding this game great.
Overall I would say the second one was better, however I still like some points of the first one better. If Bioware and Obsidian would put forth a joint effort on a third one (and put it on the XBOX 2), I would get an XBOX 2.Comment

Re: Did anybody get KOTOR II?
I hope if they make a KOTOR 3 that they just update the graphics. The graphics are alright but they could make them alot better. Look at jade empire for an example.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
