Re: Did anybody get KOTOR II?
Originally posted by JisticI got this for my wife as a present (she loves RPGs). And last night I thought I'd take a 'quick look' at it.....Lol..
Well at 4:30 AM I forced myself to finally go to bed...now I'm ruined. This game is better than the first one! Why? It's all about depth baby. THe story is way deeper. I find myself hanging on every word. I don't rush through the dialogue to get to the next combat scene. There's layers and layers of goodness here and it's like being sucked into a great movie.
As others have said. IF you liked the first one...you'll LOVE This one.Comment

Re: Did anybody get KOTOR II?
I'm sorry but I think this smokes the last one. It's like you're living in a great novel. The dialogue is great. The dynamic of all the characters changing is crazy.
My wife and I are both playing games at the same time, we're both dark side, and have about the same amount of time played. Yet our gameplay experiences have been VERY different. I've even had cutscenes that she's never seen.
This WILL be played though again, but I still got a LONG way to go. Hell I even like playing Pazaak!
If you even like RPG's get this, and be sucked in. TOO MANY DAM GOOD GAMES OUT THERE! UGH!PSN: JISTIC_OS

Re: Did anybody get KOTOR II?
I waaaay behind, seeing that I just got KOTOR I for X-mas THIS year! The good thing is it only cost my wife $20 (for the PC), so I she ended up getting me 3 games this year. If you can hold off, waiting to get games definitely pays off big time. I usually get the big sports releases when they come out, but other then that I usually end up getting games at least 6 months or so after they release. I've got a busy schedule, so it takes me FOREVER to finish games!
Back on topic, I am still learning everything... but i'm definitely loving the first one so far. Glad to see the second one is just as good (or better), since it really gives me something to look forward to. With my busy schedule it will take me months to play this game on both the light and dark side. Hopefully i'll be able to pick up the second one at a discount by then!LET'S GO FLYERS, YANKEES, DOLPHINS!!!Comment

This game plays to everything I want in my RPG's. Great plot, strong dialogue, excellent character interaction and development, moral and ethical dilemmas at every turn.
Big brother Bioware gets all the praise, as well they should, because they make outstanding games, but people shouldn't sleep on Obsidian either cause they got mad game too.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: Did anybody get KOTOR II?
I got it for Christmas. Haven't had much time to get too far into it though.
I think I'm going to go light side, Sully. I'll try the dark side on the second time through. Question I've had in my mind since the first one, and I only went through that one once on the light side only, but by going the dark side route, which might involve killing people you wouldn't normally kill in the quest if you were light side or something along those lines, does that result in less experience points because of not completing that part of the quest fully? Or, do you get the same amount of points one way or another but just dark side points in addition? Just curious. I imagine that I'm pretty ignorant in regards to this as they wouldn't have designed that game for you to get less experience if you were bad or something. Just want to make sure. Maybe I change up and go bad right off the bat, just for fun....Last edited by SlimKibbles; 12-27-2004, 07:37 PM.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: Did anybody get KOTOR II?
I'm playing light side. You guys playing dark side correct me if I'm wrong, but when I look at the potential dialogue options, the dark side options don't seem as varied and cerebral as the light side options. It seems very simplistic, stuff like "Time for you to die" "Obey me or suffer" I would like to see the dark side stuff be kind of "Magneto like" where there is a certain high level of charisma and deeply held convictions behind the "evil" acts.Jordan Mychal Lemos
