I've looked thru the thread, but I'm wondering, what exclusives does PS2 have besides Final Fantasy and MGS? I can't think of any atm, and so far the Xbox exclusives beat the PS2 ones.

Sports games are better on Xbox. Graphics are better of course (you'll understand once you actually see Xbox graphics on the TV, not just gameplay movies online). Online is way better since you'll find more quality leagues on Xbox. I still have yet to find a website for a league on PS2. All the good league websites are Xbox.

Patches are available to on Xbox, which sometimes greatly increase the quality of a game. PS2 has no chance in that area.

"Jak II, Gran Turismo 4, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando , SOCOM II, Syphon Filter, and Rise to Honor . It was nice to see Final Fantasy XI "

I hate sports games on Xbox because of their dreamcast style controller and the akward placement of the black and white buttons. I don't know why they just couldn't duplicate the PS2 controller and add shoulder buttons.

Saving songs to the 'box was a good feature, but only a select few of Xboxes can read CD-R's and CD-RW's ... I like making mixes, but if I have to rip several CD's just to get just a few songs, it's not worth messing with.


I have no problem with the Xbox, but the PS2 has games that I like, free online gaming, and a better controller IMO. I think alot of other people agree because the PS2 just went out of stock this season.

The only "select few" xboxes that don't read cd-r's or cd-rw's are the first ones with the thompson drive. I own an xbox with a philips drive and a samsung drive and those both read cd-r and cd-rw. The controller is fine for me too. I don't know why people complain so much about it, maybe it's cause I'm used to the dreamcast style and I like the dreamcast style. And of those games that you listed, only a few are actually any good.

PS2 online was a waste for me, since there were too many idiots. It's free, so every 8 year old can play. It's harder to get younger players on Xbox Live.

Those 5 989 sports games shouldn't even be up there. Not many copies even sell since now ESPN sells for 20 bucks. And who buys 2003???

FFXI hardly sells anymore now that it's tough to find a PS2 that is compatible with a HD. Plus FFXI is just a time consumer, ask people on the forums, they said you have to be able to get at least 4-5 hours of playtiem a day if you want to get anywhere.

Alot of those games I've never heard before -_-.

I used to like PS2, but now that I'm totally into sports and combat games, Xbox is the way for me. More rosters on Xbox, and better online leagues. Plus more combat games (I'm now into Halo 2, Ghost Recon 2, and Rainbow Six). SOCOM is getting old for me. After about a year of playing, it's time to move up to a more advanced combat game.
