Because you're a biased Xbox fanboy.
I'm fortunate enough to have all three at my disposal. I own a PS2 and a Gamecube and my roommate owns an Xbox. Where multiplatform titles are concerned, the Xbox is usually superior but not drastically so save for some isolated instances. Graphics are usually a little crisper or might make use of a certain affect a PS2 version could not handle and also make use of the HD. In the instances where the games differ only slightly from a technical standpoint I'll almost always side with the PS2 version for its controller.
As far as exclusives go, Sony has the upper hand. In this generation of consoles, it could be argued Sony has provided the best first-party experience of any of the three console manufacturers. Nintendo has been surprisingly unimpressive with Mario Sunshine, Mario this, Mario that, and so on. Their biggest hit being Metroid Prime and me being a person who can't stand first-person shooters I didn't get into it. With that said, its obvious I don't care for Halo. And outside of Halo the best exclusive Xbox has is KOTOR which appeals mostly to Star Wars junkies. I prefer the fantasy setting of Neverwinter Nights to KOTOR and the experience is the same.
The only big Xbox title I was greatly intrigued by was Fable, and that game sucked. I played through it in a weekend and I couldn't believe how hyped it had been.
The PS2 basically has the best game in almost every genre on its console. Racing, action, platformer, adventure, fighting, all on PS2. And once next year rolls around, they'll probably have the best baseball game as well as 989's product is noticably better than Take 2's. This is not to say the Xbox has a poor selection of software, but it is noticeably inferior to the one held by the Playstation 2.
