The same can be done for ammo, attachments, weapons etc.
Yeah it's very well done. I especially like the fact that you can acknowledge location pings set by teammates, and call "dibs" on the armor/weapons/attachments they mark.

I unloaded a 35-bullet clip from an automatic assault rifle into a guy at fairly close range last night, and he didn't go down. So either TTK must be reduced or the body armor made less effective.

This has happened multiple times, too.
Longer ttk provides more opportunity for team synergies also though. Don't mine it, even though I'm super bad.

          Very fun.

No, but really. I have only had good experiences for teams. I have had a few that ragequit when they die...and I'm like bruh I can revive you...other then that, the gameplay is so smooth, the game looks great, and it seems pretty balanced. Even the players with huge amount of kills already can be taken down with good strategy.

True. That's the other edge of the sword. But it's frustrating as hell to stake a good position, surprise someone, unload a clip or two into them and not see them drop.

I don't want to see a massive swing in TTK. Just a tweak.

Normally I agree about TTK in games being too long. However, I don't get the impression that this game is aiming for realism ( I know that's not what you're saying).

My point is, it's supposed to be arcady, bullet-spongey, however you want to call it; not supposed to be quick deaths. It's also meant to be played with squad tactics in mind. You get rewarded for sticking together. And when 3 of you roll up on someone you're going to get that kill quicker. Stating the obvious there, but it's not meant to be lone-wolf.

Sure sometimes you get separated or your teammates die, but your chances are supposed to be slim at that point. Not impossible, just slim.

I think I'll try it. Game looks super fun and well balanced...I can't stand the bunny hopping of fortnite and the ultimate in this game puts a nice spin on BR. I like how team focused the game appears too.

Well I gave it a try part of last night and a bunch tonight, and actually had a lot of fun. The ping system is definitely as good as advertised. A lot of my rounds ended with a quick death due to not finding a weapon in time, but as Bloodhound I had one match tonight where I was on the winning team. I didn't actually get any kills but I did down a couple including part of the other final 2 squads in the match. But my biggest contribution had to be pinging the entire third to last team's exact location with his normal unique ability (not his ultimate), who were all grouped up right around a corner from us. We got the drop on them and wiped them out, then the last remaining squad came after us and we held them off for the win.

And you know what the best part was? None of us were using mics. It was all pings, constantly letting us know enemy locations, specific loot drops that one of us needed, and so on. It was really amazing.

I was sitting here reading these posts about the ping system and just from my childhood of playing shooters on the PC and constantly looking at people's pings after they started lagging out, I was so confused what y'all were even talking about lol.

But yeah, the ping system really is phenomenal. I'm not a huge fan of BR games, but I've enjoyed playing Blackout in COD and definitely seems like I'll enjoy myself playing this quite a bit. I still haven't recorded a single kill, but the game mechanics are just incredibly well done. I hadn't really given any thought to how much better the existing BR games could be until I played this.

The one positive about the current TTK pointed out by many players is that it strongly promotes team play. It's damn hard to take down a foe one-on-one. But creating a fire team with teammates to rain lead from two or three positions usually is more than sufficient to take out an enemy.

Maybe I'm just too accustomed to playing Blackout and PUBG solo and need to rewire my brain around team play. Either way, I think TTK needs a small tweak. And I'm still digging this game.

You know it's a good game when you play for 3 hours and as a team you get 4 kills and still had fun. My teammates had never played (one didn't even do the tutorial, ugh) before last night. Still a good time, and consistently in the top 10 due to being smart about jumping and not just sprinting all over the map.

Oh man you gotta do the tutorial, that teaches you a lot. I would even recommend doing it twice and letting it all sink in.

Picked up my first W! Not sure how kills really work, should have had 5, but ended with 2? But the end sequence was amazing.

                                3 v. 3 v. 1 my team was the 3.

The solo tried to hero spot it and zipline kills is, I sniped headshot him for the kill. Then my squad and the other final one were in a massive shootout with me getting another snipe kill through a door (wish I saved that video). Then the three of us surrounded the place. The two were focused on one teammate hiding, the other guy and I rushed the house, I went in the direction they were and blasted them with my peacekeeper for the win as my other squad member just got into the room and just said. "****, man you just wiped out the last four guys like nothing." Funny moment to end it with.
