Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint
Thats cool for you but making Ghost Recon like the Division and less of what Ghost Recon is, is an awful decisionComment

Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint
Watched Skill Up's video yesterday and as someone who enjoyed Wildlands base game a lot, Breakpoint goes in the opposite direction. Love the stamina part where his character can't climb up a step that's a foot high because he's out of stamina. LOL.
As for the AI team mates, I hated them in Wildlands and would make them sit outside a base/mission area and only use them when my stealth goes down the drain. Not having in Breakpoint is one of the few positives for me but I will say that it should be optional so everyone can play the way the want.Comment

Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint
That guy's video makes some good points. But also he barely played Wildlands. From playing the Alpha and Closed beta I can say you could definitely tell it needed work from a technical standpoint. He also makes a good point about the weapon upgrades. That's just weird.
But I also feel it's expanded on the core gameplay of Wildlands by adding the injury system, keeping the enemies not bullet sponges, and it does feel like a sequel to me. It's not that big of a departure. Which for me and anyone who liked Wildlands is a good thing. I could probably do without the loot/RPG elements but it's whatever. It's not gonna kill the game for me.
Like that dude said, Wildlands didn't get great reviews, but it's probably top five favorite non-sports game of all time for me. I'm fully prepared for this game to get mediocre reviews. But like I said, so did Wildlands and it ended up being one of my favorite games ever.
Basically, if you didn't like Wildlands, you probably won't like Breakpoint.
Also, I wasn't aware the AI teammates were gonna be patched in post launch. That kinda sucks because I like them, but not gonna bother me too much. Lone wolf can be fun.Last edited by PVarck31; 09-30-2019, 07:08 PM.Comment

Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint
I actually beat every mission in GR:W and that's a rare thing for me...I wouldn't put it top 5 off the top of my head, but really it got me playing more than most games.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint
Being playing a little under an hour and I can tell this is going to get a lot of rotation play.
Playing on normal and I have to rethink my approach because I’m getting taken out with a quickness. Couple a bullets in me and I’m done. This didn’t happen is GRW.
If this stays like this I’m going to really enjoy this.

Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint
I finished Wildlands 100% got both endings and put over 100 hours of gameplay into it. By far the most hours I've ever put into a non-sports game. The game just grabbed me. I loved all the weapon choices, the different parts of the map, infuriating bases. So yep, top five for me.
BTW, did anyone happen to pre-order digitally from Amazon? I just ended up going with the Gold Edition because it was actually only $99 on digital and $109 physical. I ask because it hasn't given me my code yet. I was hoping they would give it to me so I can pre-load the game so I can play at midnight and not have to wait until it installs.Last edited by PVarck31; 09-30-2019, 07:40 PM.Comment

Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint
This is what grabbed me I think. Not the run of the mill shooter. I liked the tactical approach. I liked the huge number of weapons and attachments. I'm kinda into that whole military special forces thing anyway, so it felt like I got to be a Tier One Operator.Comment
