Even though its gotten less and less tactical than what it was over the years, casuals flocking to COD around 07-08 shifted the industry and made them overhaul how the game was which unfortunately has been them being led by that, than them continuing to innovate as a leader.

I had no issue with Wildlands once i got into it but theres always that problem of not being able to fill the world with enough with these games, especially on the 1st try.

I just dont like GR being pieced together from other games like The Division and Far Cry.

Red Storm is gone and its noticeable. Tom Clancy would never.

People forget Wildlands was heavily patched and upgraded over the years to get it to where it is today. That first year of Wildlands was bare bones. The Division was the same way, The Division 2 was that way too. So was the last 2 Assassin's Creeds. It is just Ubisoft's style. They get the base game out, then improve it over the next 2 to 3 years.

Wildlands not even in my top 10 for non sports games. But then again I have a gaming PC so I am exposed to way more games then just console only players. A year from now, Breakpoint will be much better. First 3 months, yeah, I am not expecting much since I know how Ubisoft do things. Rest assure though, Ubisoft post launch support is top notch. They support their games for a long time.

        Thats sort of the problem

Thats why they end up left behind and following trends instead of being who they are or this game in particular.

Its been like that for too long when GR was a top notch dope game...

Shoot our old OS 16 man coop games were lit.

Really like it so far. More polished than the beta. It does still feel like Wildlands in many ways. The mission structure is a little confusing but I need to get used to it.

Done for the night, but definitely wanting to play tomorrow.

              Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint

Some of it remind me of Wildlands. This mission structure remind me of The Division 2. It is completely open world, so you literally can do what ever you want. Main mission, side mission, factions missions, go treasure hunting, go explore some Tombs. It is pretty heavy on the RPG element. You can collect all kind of plants, kill animals for food, gather water from rivers or where ever you come across it, collect ore, gold, potato looking things, just a whole lot to gather and make stuff out of.

The map is HUGE, however parts of the map is WAYYYYYYYYY higher then your skill level so you will be grinding for a while to explore those areas.

The Division 2 elements are the following:

The enemy AI behave like the True Sons and the Black Tusks. Hell their equipment definitely remind me of the Black Tusks.

Weapon shop, blue prints to find, blue prints to buy, you can scrap your weapons and loot for materials just like The Division 2.

              Gear score for everything.

              Settlements

              The BAD STUFF:

Highly annoyed by that constant reminder to invite friends at the top of the screen.

This game is the new micro transaction king. They totally blow EA and 2K away with this game. You can buy sooooooo much stuff if you don't want to grind for it. Weapons, attachments, scopes, clothing items, etc. It is mighty long and extensive store they have there. However that stuff don't carry over into Ghost War. People taking advantage of it too, already saw characters decked out already with high end everything.

AI teammates not being there at launch is a major bummer.

At times it is hard to tell who is a civilian and who isn't. I killed 2 of them already by mistake because they look just like an enemy.

The zoom in feature on the map is terrible. Don't do it, it will totally disorient you. The roads on the map aren't always precise and accurate either.

Other then that, the following conclusions:

The biyvoac camp areas are cool, you can fast forward to them once you find them, which they are easy to find in the air when you fly a helicopter. Tall grass actually work. Prone cover up works EXTREMELY WELL. You can make this as challenging as you want, you can turn a lot of stuff off in the game. By default it guides you to where some of the stuff is at. You can uncheck that box and just play explorer mode. You can turn the HUD off too.

Over all so far I like it. The landscape got that toned down Assassin's Creed Odyssey look to it. Pretty meadows, colorful flowers everywhere, snow caps here and there. Very pretty looking game. Runs smooth on my PC, which I was surprised I was able to run everything maxed out. But then again it is mostly wide open areas that are sparsely populated.

The AI aim is definitely like Wildlands. They can't hit from distance too well until you come across an elite. The regulars though, miss a lot. I found myself laughing at times like how am I not dead yet when they fired 100 shots at me, missing. Like The Division 2, the enemy on patrol got some pretty funny banter at times among themselves.

I am telling everybody right now, this game is EXTREMELY OPEN WORLD. It is also very heavy on the RPG side too. So if you don't like traveling vast distances, doing fetch quests, collecting plants, minerals and other materials for you can craft stuff, then this game isn't for you. If you don't like exploring, this game isn't for you. You can easily miss a ton of stuff if you drive or fly everywhere. I mean sure you can use real world money to just buy everything if you don't want to explore.

With how this game is laid out, should last quite a bit of time. The skill tree is pretty straight forward, basically laid out like The Division 2 specialization tree only bigger. I chose to be a sharpshooter. Oh yeah, I love how the drone battery last a very long time by default. Tactics ? Yeah.....NO. You can totally get away with being Rambo in this game. Hell you can totally get away with just speeding through a group of enemies too and survive. Still early in the game though, level 12 weapons and level 12 gear. Did a couple of side missions other then the 1st main mission.

Tom Clancy games have to be some of the most abused IPs in existence. The polar opposite of how they started out in every way.

I pre-ordered the Gold edition but only had the code for the year 1 pass.

Are the pre-order bonus items already in the game or something? I figured I would have had to download them.

                      Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint

I loved Ghost Recon Wildlands. It was far from perfect, but I loved how the story, environment, and combat was handled in that game. Breaking down El Sueño's organization piece-by-piece was just a hell of a lot of fun.

I was very excited about Breakpoint prior to playing the Alpha and Beta builds, but not anymore. It still feels very similar to the last game, but it's lost a lot of the charm of the last one. Breakpoint was just boring to me, and that's not a feeling that I had while playing Wildlands.

I hate the social hub, how missions are structured, and the graphics are a step backward in some ways. Breakpoint just doesn't feel as polished at the last Ghost Recon. I'm sure that I'll be able to have some fun with it once I dig deep into the game, but I'm not inclined to spend $60 on it right now. Based on my experience, I honestly don't think this game is going to do very well. I expect it to be a cheap pickup sooner rather than later. I'm sure the eventual patches will breathe more life into it too.

Being that this game is one of the biggest selling points for Google Stadia, I don't see this game going on sale anytime soon. Pre-order bonus pops up on the screen after you quit the game. At least that is how it was for me. I died, went to quit the game and it popped up on the screen saying redeem now.

I could easily see Google Stadia flopping too. Their lineup doesn't look very impressive at launch, and if Breakpoint really is one of their biggest selling points, that's not good a good sign. None of us know for sure, I guess we'll just have to see how things play out in the next few months.

Not sure specific games are their selling point, it's a technology play/service. The way partners integrate with that remains to be seen (ie will I have access to all Ubi games as a Stadia and U+ sub)

I received that as well, but was Ubisoft Club stuff.

I'm talking the Hammer Mk 2 Vehicle, Sentinel Mk 2 Heavy Outfit and Valor Assault rifle pre-order bonus stuff.
