Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

If you guys want to have fun, go look at the complaints of every call of duty release on here. It’s literally the same type of stuff every time. This is the game - there will be some OP guns, the map rotation will be weird, there is spawn camping, there will be guys who run around and knife and there will be camping.

Just funny to me to read the same stuff every year yet people keep buying it. I personally have accepted the game for what it is and enjoy this release. For the record, I took years off of COD when it went too far in the Halo direction for my tastes.

I notice 10x more M4A1s then I do shotguns. I'd rather see it nerfed. I've never seen a kill cam with it where there was any type of recoil.

Overall on normal modes I think it's too easy to die. I watched a kill came of someone who shot me 100% just in the feet, and I was dead in the same amount of shots. Anything below the waist should take a lot more shots and not rewards poor aim or people proning/camping a door entrance.

Personally, I like it this way. I play hardcore myself because I want it to be more realistic and take less shots to get a kill. I would think IRL even if you got shot in the legs you wouldn't be able to continue fighting like you could before. Maybe in the future if you got shot in the legs you would fall and could only crawl or limp until a teammate revived you or something (World at War had this) but for now I'm fine with it. The whole point should be to hit and not get hit.

The TTK and TTD is right on. Love that. They need to limit the range of shotguns and kill area for claymores. Other than that, the game plays fine.

What’s crazy about that is I used the M4A1 quite a bit and had recoil, but a lot of times I get killed by one and when I watch the kill cam they seem to have none at all. WTF

I have 16 hours in this game and I'm honestly not sure how much more I can take. Really bad map design. Game design choices that make zero sense.

The complaints are valid, though. Yes, it happens for every game, but there is a lot of truth here. The claymores couldn't even be stunned at launch and they had a 360 trigger radius with no warning. The shotgun is more effective at medium range than assault rifles. It's obviously broken when 90% of the lobby is using the same weapon. The camping in this game is next level. I rarely get through a game by hitting the score limit. Your character will yell things that the other team can hear while you're trying to flank them. So yeah, why move?

They've created a game that, by design, asks people to camp. Even the official map descriptions let you know that there are a lot of locations to hide. Hell, the scoreboard for the objective game modes don't even have stats related to the objective at all. It's always K/D. But obviously, the scoreboard in TDM, where you'd want to promote a high K/D, doesn't even display it.

The attention to detail in the MP gameplay just isn't there at all. Maps look great, but some don't play well.

They just released a patch that addresses a ton of issues.

And honestly, I don’t camp that much and do fine. Guys that camp in the same spot and don't move are so easy to kill for me anyway.

Just played TDM against a “clan” that camped the map. They opened up with a nice lead, but once I figured out what they were doing, I was able to flank them and literally walk up behind each one and kill them. It was that bad. And yeah we won that match because once their camping strategy was exposed, they had no plan B.

So no, I don’t feel asked to camp. I just feel that running around in open space is probably a bad idea - but thats a good thing.

There is a great perk that shows all the enemies claymores. Another easy way to find and flush out campers.

Getting knocked instead would make it 100x better. Getting shot in the feet 3 times shouldn't be an instant death.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

One of the things I wish Call of Duty will improve on is a different type of incentive for winning matches. My favorite mode is Domination, I just like the idea of having an objective instead of just TDM. However a lot of times, teammates and even myself sometimes will not capture the objective and just go for kills. I think this year you do get more XP for winning but that's not a big deal to me, I'm looking for something more intriguing than that.

My idea is to have a separate ranking system where you only progress in this ranking by winning matches. Doesn't matter about your stats, just winning will allow you to progress. Along with that, it could include some sort of promotion/demotion type of thing so there isn't just a max ranking, sort of like FIFA/Madden. I think it would be cool, maybe it could be for unlocking character customization options in the future or really anything else. I just think K/D shouldn't be the only statistic that matters. I'm interested in what you guys think of an idea like this?

EDIT: Also to expand a little bit, I was imagining it could be a "Tournament" or "Season" mode. You play something like 20 matches. Once that is complete if you won say, 12 you qualify for the Playoffs. You play in 2 or 3 rounds and a Championship. Each round will consist of a lobby with only players in those same rounds. You would still be randomly paired but I think a mode like that could be really fun. Champions could receive an item, trophy, promotion. You could even keep Clans together and even have team stats for that. Everyone else is considered a Mercenary.
