Overall I've had a good time playing this COD. Thought BO4 was kind of mediocre at best and only was playing because some friends still play Blackout mode. I really hope they can add Battle Royale down the line because it would be what I always dreamed Pubg would become and never did if it had a BR mode. Overall satisfied so far from what I've gotten out of MW just need the cherry on top.

I think map design is going to hold this one back from being as tactical as they want to be. Shoebox/linear map design is awful. Anyone can succeed at this game by being campy and holding lanes down. That's exactly what it is to me.. a lane shooter. You don't have much freedom of movement on the maps and that's basically every other COD.

Player movement is extremely limited compared to even BFV. It feels clunky and unresponsive.

If the 32v32 mode isn't good then it's probably a pass for me. There's just not much skill involved with the gun mechanics/play to me. Didn't actually think I'd be a negative nancy because my 2v2 impressions were positive, but it's just an old turd with new polish at this point.

It's the only game where you can go 25-5 one round and the next 5-25 because so much of what is going on is out of your own control.

Im liking siege more atm for my tactical shooter. Will probably still buy this but it has quite a few issues for now. Dont know if anyone has tried matchmaking with more then 2 people but thats a mess.

They don’t like how enemies don’t show up on the mini map when firing their weapon (even though you can see red dots on the compass when someone fires their weapon), don’t like the map design, the ttk is too fast. One thing I will agree with is they need to fix the spawning.

Played all night last night with a friend. First time in a long time enjoyed COD again, has old school feel to it. When has COD not had a spawning issue, haha, seems like always an issue. But at this point they can only help it. But with confined maps makes a little hard. I will always hate quick scopes.If I see someone doing this, I will hunt them down with a passion. Stupidest thing allowed in this game. Since when can someone with a .50 cal rifle quick scope in real life. I have held a .50cal before, exact opposite is true. Rant over. #killthequickscopers

There are. They're called tactical shooters like Operation Flashpoint, Hidden & Dangerous, ect...


Your not gonna see it in casual mainstream shooters which are mostly marketed to kids. Especially in this day and age.

Red Orchestra, Rising Storm, ARMA, Escape from Tarkov, and so many others. Like you said, the masses don't care about the mechanics those games bring to the table unfortunately.

I haven't been a big CoD fan in many years, but this beta was a lot of fun on PC.

Thinking about picking it up for a change of pace.

Havnt played since MW2 and everything was on point for me....
except...spawns need some WORK, and the maps, ...but ill let that slide as Im sure theyll be better and more varied in the full release

Yea I think MW2 was the last time I was truly into a CoD, and played a ton leading up to MW2 in my early console days. This will be my first go around on PC.

Totally agree on the spawns, but that was my biggest gripe. Game runs great and is just fun. It's also the complete opposite of what I look for in an FPS, but that may be why I enjoyed it so much.

I like COD games but I'm not that good at them. I usually end up with 10 kills and 5 to 10 deaths in hardcore TDM. I skipped BO4 because of the lack of a solo campaign. Played the Beta to MW this past weekend and really enjoyed it. I will say though over the many years playing COD games online, running around a small map and playing kill - die -kill -die over and over has just about run it's course with me. I'll pick this game up for the campaign, but later on sale. With Maximum Football 2019, Destiny Shadowkeep , Ghost Recon Breakpoint , and Grid all coming out within days of each other my gaming fund will be tapped.
