Looks like just the stick and pedals separately are sold out. Looks like only the bundle of both is available. I am going to try with the controller a bit more first before I make an impulse buy!

Very cool to see people get into flight simming. I dont know if it will ever make it to xbox but on pc there are career mode type add ons like onair company https://www.onair.company/ and there are tons of virtual airlines like the one I'm in, https://www.swavirtual.com/wn/

Just flying around is great but I find enjoyment in using the above and multiple other add ons to enhance the experience. Hopefully the xbox users can get similar opportunities in the future.

According to OnAir Facebook page they di plan to release it for Xbox. Just not ETA yet on when that’ll be. So that’ll be cool.

That is awesome if Xbox users can get those add ons and get to participate in virtual airlines.

Ive had MSFS 2020 since launch on PC and the amount of content and addon available are plentiful and have grown tremendously since launch. Hoping most of them can translate and come to consoles so more people can enjoy them.

The one add on / mod in particular that I enjoy the most is the Fly By Wire A320 Airbus. The best thing about it is that it is absolutely free and made by people who are passionate in flying. FBW's version of the airbus blows asobo's version out of the water. I dont know if they will release one for the consoles but if they do it is a must get in my opinion if you are into flying airliners.

So far the update on PC has improved my performance tremendously. After the update I set my graphics to 1440p Ultra settings and am getting framerates close to 60 and a tad higher depending on where I fly. Before the update I was only able to go to high settings with a few medium settings mixed in. Obviously in heavily populated cities like NYC I get about 45 - 50 FPS but that is a lot better than what I was getting before the update.

It also looks like Asobo pushed more of the workload onto the GPU now rather than most on the CPU. For a game like this, anything above 30FPS is great.

MSFS2020 was the first flight sim that I ever played. When it first came out it was really hard for me as well. The one thing I did was use one plane and get used to it. I started with the small planes exclusively such as the cessna. I watched a lot of youtube videos and practiced and did the training that they have available. Once I got good I moved onto the A320 and learned how all the instruments work. In reality, the A320 was the easiest for me to fly once I learned how the Auto pilot works and once you learn how to set up your flight plan. The plane basically fly's by itself.

If you are using a controller, try playing with the controller sensitivity a bit. Here is what I have my controller set to. I use my controller once in a while but I use the Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick ( http://www.thrustmaster.com/products...airbus-edition ) when im flying the A320

Hope that helps and stick with it. It is quite satisfying and enjoyable once you get the hang of all the controls and how the planes handle.

Only played for about 30 minutes last night. Flew around the Colorado area. I had scheduled to fly through Breckenridge but couldn't locate the marker on the map when in flight. I guess I should have just headed in right direction. lol

Is there a way to make the focus areas where it tells you the name of what you're going to fly over bolder or easier to read? As it stands, it's very faint and the print is too light imo.

Flew through the strip in Vegas as my last flight. This was the first time I noticed a considerable amount of slow down and frame rate drop. Still was very cool to check out, but it was anything but smooth.

Seeing this thread pop back up has made me want to fire the game up again. Funny how that works. I'm schedule to fly into Miami in a few weeks IRL. I might recreate the flight in game and see how long it actually will take to fly.

The ticket says around 2 hours, but last time I flew to Miami it was out of ATL and the ticket said 1 hour and 50 minutes and it barely even took an hour.

I signed up for game pass to try this game again. I have a sidewinder precision 2 flight stick. I’m actually quite shocked Windows recognizes it. It took awhile but I had to manually set up the controls for this game. But it worked and am currently in process of a flight.

If I do decide to purchase this game I will prob buy a newer flight stick.
