Really need to stop looking in here.
Already making the last 4 hrs of work seem like 12 hrs more..

Can't wait to set down and get everything configured with my Yoke etc.. and go through all the lessons.

Very tempted to download this now, but I'm going to force myself to hold off until my new build is put together later this year so I can (hopefully) enjoy this in all of its glory after some issues are ironed out.

Some really neat skies, and, well, weather in general flying around Baja California Sur with hurricane Genevieve rolling through.

I gambled and lost. Took my lazy *** time and struck out on purchasing the Logitech's full system. It's been all sold out in many places. However, it's ok. September seems to be a new restock date. Don't want to play this with a game controller.

Been cool reading what to expect during install, and personal photo shots.

Re: Any Microsoft Flight Simulator Fans Here?

Playing with an Xbox controller till my HOTAS gets here, and having an issue right away. Every plane I flew pulled to the right then rolled and crashed if I just leave the stick untouched.

Made a post on reddit about it, and I was surprised to see like 30 people post withing like an hour that they were having the same issue. Even with yokes and sticks. One guy suggested adding a dead zone of 15% to all controls fixes the issue. I did it and while it's not a total fix, it definitely doesn't pull hard and roll anymore. Just a but unstable with pitch and yaw, so I gotta keep it steady.

I still don't know half of what I'm doing. I have everything on easy for now. My only knowledge of how to fly a plane is watching hours upon hours of flight sim game and real flight videos.

I have assist on for everything, but I never get any assists. I don't even know how to use autopilot.

But I am pretty proud of myself. My first flight in the game was at night from Cleveland Hopkins to Akron Canton. I actually did it. Landed and and lived to tell about it. Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.

Hoping once I get my modest HOTAS, it's the one made for Xbox and PC, things will get easier.

Oh, and btw. I'm running on all high settings as it recommended for me. I am having some frame rate issues. Seems like it gets a little choppy when landing. Other than that, I've been doing ok. Definitely not hitting 100fps or anything crazy. I have a mid-range graphics card and processor. So I knew going in I wasn't gonna be using ultra settings. Hopefully in a year or so, after the next-gen systems come out, I can splurge on a high end card and processor.

Weird, it's supposed to pull to the left. Is it possible you've been pressing a button that's assigned to aileron trim?

I just scored a Logitech G923 racing wheel from Best Buy Tech Insider to review and hoping like crazy they soon have a Yoke system like this I could get to review because my wife will be uber mad if I go buy something like this..

No, I checked everything. But adding a 15% dead zone helped. Still not quite right I don't think. I'm hoping its more the issues of using a controller. I ordered a HOTAS, but not sure when it's gonna be here.

It's weird because there seems to be a lot people having this same issues, but then most don't.

Haven't got it yet but there's some concerns. The game was tested by DSOGaming and they're suggesting to correct the slowdowns and FPS hit with 32GB of RAM as the preferred specs now from their performance analysis? Don't really believe this is the case but would like to know if anyone has better information.

While the airliners in the game are pretty crappy, they are still good enough to showcase how impressive and detailed the landscape really is.

I have 32gb, but an underpowered 1060 6GB, and I have no stutters and my fps in GA aircraft is 60+. Lower fps in airliners, but still no stuttering or spiking.

After the Nvidia drivers for this game it’s running a lot better. I’m able to get 35 to 45 FPS at ultra settings. I’ll also say this is the best looking game I’ve ever seen. The graphics are simply photo realistic. So easy to just sit down and fly for hours. Love it

I have this, thought my controller stick was drifting or off center , but seems this may be either normal and intended or something that adjusting the deadzone will help. This actually makes me feel a little better though, was about to have to drop some unwarranted dough on trying to configure an 8020 desk build to switch between racing wheel and a yoke even though I just got the next level fgt rig... Wife probably would kick me out for sure the route I was about to take.

Well.. kept crashing and could never load into a flight on high settings even though I have an i7-9700K and GTX 1080.. The issue turned out to be my 16GB of RAM. Upgraded to 32GB of RAM and it has ran absolutely perfect on high, turns out at 1440p with high settings, it was requiring a ton of memory that my 16GB just could not handle. Worth every penny.

Some shots after finally getting it to work with high settings preset.

I'm so bad with landings. I have all the assists on and I don't even get prompted for help. I tried a flight from Cleveland to Buffalo and it had me cruising at 10,000, which is pretty low. I was in the AB A320. I figured 25K maybe. Then I had a hard time with overspeed. So it was a constant struggle to keep it at 10K and 250Knts.

I still don't know how auto pilot works. It doesn't tell me anything about it. It did all the checklist for me. I figured if I toggles autopilot on it would fly at the right heading. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Also I always come in to fast and high for landings. I was actually able to do a touch and go and come around and land in one flight, but I've crashed it like five straight landings.

FS2020 is everything I ever wanted. It brings me to tears. I first played the series with my grandfather in ‘98. If he were still with us today, the beauty of this game would have given him another heart attack. Morbid humor sure, but true.

Yes, there’s a lot of bugs and kinks that need to be ironed out. But it’s already a far smoother launch than FSX back in 2006, which could barely run on any system at the time.
