For me it depends on the price. I wonder how long the warranty is because I'm sure there will be problems.

But it will be hard to hold back once I see all the sport games on the new systems.

I don't see myself buying any at launch. I usually end up getting one right after the first price drop when some big name games hit. I figure my GC and Xbox should easily keep me busy for awhile with all the games I have to play and still purchase. I definately don't want to spend more than $250 on a console.

I'll get probably PS3 and XBox 2 at launch. Don't know about the nintendo one though.

Im gonna get xbox 2 and PS3 when they both launch, same as i did with Xbox, PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, N64...etc

I don't know. I'd like to get whichever console I decide on, at launch, but I know it's sometimes better to wait until the 2nd and 3rd versions come out.

Just gives more time for all the kinks to be worked out.

same here, now that I'm out of school and working full time I could afford it...I feel for the younger guys out there though, it's rough when you're in HS or College to get a system at launch, I don't think I've had a system at launch ever actually.

Playstation I think I got when it was $150. Dreamcast was over a year after launch, PS2 was about a year, and Xbox about a year and a half.

I don't plan on getting a console at launch, because I really don't want to spend $300+, I need to wait for PS3 and Xbox2 to both be out to decide which to get, and a lot of launch consoles seem to have problems that get fixed later on. I don't want to get one that's going to break.

Mario 64 got me to buy an N64 at launch, as did Halo for the Xbox. Those are the only systems I have ever bought at launch and it was solely for those games. As it turned out, the other N64 Launch title Waverace was my all time favorite title on the system.

I have got too many games in this generation to catch up on to put down money on a new system unless their is a revolutionary title on it at launch...which IMO is rare.

I won't buy the PS3 until NCAA Football is released on it. I didn't get a PS1 until NCAA Gamebreaker was released and I didn't get a PS2 until NCAA Football 2002 was released. I'm a college football junkie.
