Really enjoying the game so far although the servers have been shaky. It’s annoying when I can’t play a game solo due to server issues but they must have more gamers than expected. Paul Tassi of Forbes wrote that there were 3 times as many people that ever played Avengers online.

Rocking the Technomancer. I switch up some skills depending on the mission where I’m getting my *** kicked. Keeping it at the max tier difficulty is probably not a good idea for a weak shooter gamer like me but I’ve been able to overcome everything so far even if I spend 30 minutes on a checkpoint.

Couldn't even log in yesterday so I was like, I'll give them a week to sort stuff out to where hopefully, the servers are more stable and can handle the extra amount of people playing the game. Put 4 hours into the game on Friday and it's good, fun and enjoyable but I would be pissed if I spent $60 on the game due to the servers just not holding up.

Giving this a shot since it's on Game Pass, why not?

Not very far, I'm at World Level 2 and my character is Level 4.

I've never played a looter shooter type game before. The gameplay is fun and this game runs really well on Series X.

Game is very fun, very addicting.

As has been shared by others, the servers are absolutely awful.
As a 100% online experience, its hard to stomach when these issues come at launch.

Of course, throwing it free on game pass was always going to inflate the user base on opening weekend, but man I feel for those who dropped the $60.

I have never understood why would you make a game that is 100% online. Like, what the hell is the point?

This game looks like it's well worth trying but I personally will never play it because I like to keep my console offline most of the time.

I wanted to like this game but I simply don't. It is a worse version of Destiny. Ive never been a fan of shooters that feature a lot of going from cover to cover and pop out shooting. Boring to me.

Feels more like Defiance and some of the other lesser mmo/shooter games. If it was a little slower and a better sense of weight it would remind me of division, wish it was a little closer to their locomotion design decisions. You move so fast that things feel cheaper and kinda floaty, if that makes any sense.

I'm enjoying it but my biggest obstacle has been performance. Have ironed since of that out but it's finicky.

I don’t see this game that way at all in terms of cover. There are certain sections where I use cover a lot if there are longer range sniper enemies. But many boards have hordes. This game is specifically designed to make cover less valuable. Killing people gives you health. You can also leech health off each hit depending on certain characters like Technomancer. Just jumping into the middle of things and ignoring cover can be a very good strategy.

I don’t agree with Tassi on everything here but it’s an article worth reading. https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultas...h=2ffd5f5f649a

This is the most frustrating game I have ever played. Not sure why the devs thought dying over, and over, and over would somehow be enjoyable, but it just isn’t.

There is cover all over but apparently you’re not supposed to use it, but if you don’t you die pretty much instantly.

Kind of hard to deal with 40 enemies at a time when they’re all just bullet sponges, so there really isn’t any way to heal yourself and you just die, rinse, repeat.

I just played the same mission 20 times in a row and there seems to be no way for me to get past it as a single player, so what the hell is the point?

I’m glad I was able to play this on Game Pass and didn’t have to waste any money on this nightmare of a game.

totally, it does feel cheap. Perfect description would be a budget gears of war ripoff. Camera, roadie run, damage, guns etc. all gears. The cinematics suck and have the worse 'handheld' camera ever and it's a bit choppy even on the sx.

Overall very meh to me and I deleted it already - later! lol

My son already beat the game and he’s level 30. I’m level 21 and he joined me for a mission but co-op for the missions is only advisable if you are struggling. They don’t ramp up the number of enemies or add any extra difficulty with a second player present so it was too easy. So far I’ve been able to complete everything except one side mission on the hardest difficulty tier. Sometimes it does take me 30 minutes to figure out a way to complete a checkpoint (gun and skill combo plus strategy) but you can always drop the difficulty if you struggle.

My son did try an endgame mission by himself and got wrecked. So I think the difficulty is set for a team on those. Too bad they don’t scale the difficulty for co-op within the main story. I will complete that on my own from now on.

Currently if you do the Outriders Legacy side quest from the Trench it awards 10 legendaries. 1 armor and 9 weapons.

I'll lower my tier and that helps...it's frustrating at times, I'm finding it rough when i'm going through the beginning ( Tier 3 kills me), but have a character farther and it's easier....that one has a leach gun so maybe that is a big deal. I'm trying a Techno guy and keep getting wiped out...eventually i figure it out, but sucks if it's just a gear thing. Not sure that i'll really play this long term

I gave up and uninstalled the game. Not worth the headache for me.

Was able to do some co op sessions for legacy quest, and expedition with the new patch for xbox. Im reading though, that some players were losing their inventory items with multiplayer crashes.

Im not sure if its platform specific, but im going to take a break from multiplayer sessions for now. There was a statement saying that lost inventory items would be restored at some point.
