Trust me, I've been on both sides of it in the real world. It's just not as easy as many thing it might be to buy another company.

Re: WOW, EA is loaded
It's not that easy to just buy a company and shut it down! The time and expense of doing it might not have been worth it to EA. There are costs associated with shutting down the building, getting everything out of it and shipped to EA, the cost VC might be paying to lease their building and how much EA would have to fork over to payoff that lease etc...Originally posted by Vyce3

We just think they would have spent less money by just buying VC

Re: WOW, EA is loaded
So EA should've bought VC, pay for their salaries (developer salaries aren't cheap), facilities/building lease, utilities etc.... AND then since they bought VC pay for the ESPN License as well. It doesn't make sense.Originally posted by Vyce3No no and no. Buy VC, let them release a football game and take both their profits and Madden's...
It also doesn't make sense for them to buy VC and then to have 2 football games. The cost of the salaries, facilities etc.. compared to the profit of VC's football game wouldn't be worth it to EA. It just doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint.Comment
