    blu-ray dvd/ea

    Electronic arts said they will be backing the blu-ray by sony . Now xbox2 is going with hd -dvd . Does that mean ea will not support the xbox 2 and only the ps3?

    If so Xbox 2 might be in trouble.

        backing = support

        They can "support" both...can't they?
        Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.

            Hmm, I guess the PS3 can't port games over to the Xbox2. EA would usually port PS2 games to the Xbox, so this makes sense.

                    I don't think that means much. They may like that format better, but they also like making money on other consoles. They make their games on Nintendo's proprietary disks right now too.

                        lol, EA is/will be supporting both just fine. EA is really excited about Xenon. Maybe I'm not reading right, but it's just disk format. They'll still port the Xenon versions off to PS3 and Revolution.

                        Hell IGN even posted a semi complete rumoured EA Xenon game list

                        Battlefield: Modern Combat
                        The Godfather

                            Xbox 2 has a problem, when the xbox 2 comes out there will be no proprietory HighDefinitionDvD format yet which is why Sony is waiting. We are still a year away from the format being standardized by the coalition. Its not gonna be something a driver update or dongle will fix cause they are still debating on the encryption format, which brings the question- Xbox 2 might be delayed till the end of next year! Or they can release the Xbox without the capabilities to play movies. Either Microsoft knows they lost the hd format battle and are conceding that blu-ray will be the new hddvd spec or they will just delay thier console. My moneys on the latter
