I've never made the jump to PS4, brother.....still rocking my original phat PS3. I have the PS3 remastered version of SA - the glitches that made some missions a pain (Snail Trail, Supply Lines) are gone, but several songs are missing. It's why I still play the PS2 version.

Re: Your favorite Grand Theft Auto?
I remember some of those RC missions being a major PITA and then a couple of driving school lessons.
Its crazy how much there was to do SA.

Re: Your favorite Grand Theft Auto?
It started with Vice City's 'Demolition Man'. That frustrated me to no end. I found the mission easier to complete once I started from the top floor down.
As for SA, "Wu Zi Mu", "Farewell My Love", "Snail Trail", "Flying School", "N.O.E." & Zero's missions are killers.
But VCS gets the award for the hardest (and longest) missions, IMO.Last edited by Jeffx; 07-27-2020, 11:41 AM.Comment

Even that mission wasn't as bad as "The Driver" & "Dildo Dodo". Only way I ever win the race against Hilary is hoping he crashesComment

Re: Your favorite Grand Theft Auto?
What's funny is as a kid I beat Demolition Man and all of the San Andreas RC missions on my first or second try. I basically didn't struggle with them. Each time I've gone back to play the games over, I struggle beating them now. I guess my skills on the controllers have regressed over the last 15+ years, but it makes me laugh how those missions, and the CJ train mission, are so notorious, but as a kid I never would have guessed because I had no problems with them. Now I do struggle with them, except for the train mission. That one is pretty straightforward I think.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Your favorite Grand Theft Auto?
nothing like parachuting around San Andreas. hot coffee. fruitlessly searching for big foot on Mt. Chiliad. I only have a few non-sports games on my all-time favorite games list, San Andreas and Metal Gear Solid are co-number ones of those non-sportsOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Your favorite Grand Theft Auto?
Yep, there's so much to do, plus SA has the 'wackiness' that IV & V don't have. I understand that Rockstar wanted to go in a more 'realistic' direction, but IMO, that's not what GTA is supposed to be about. But they did bring the wacky element back in The Ballad of Gay Tony with the over-the-top missions.Comment

The CJ train mission was the ultimate rage inducer for me. I took 2 weeks off from the game before I beat it haha."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

I can't even think of the damn train mission off the top of my head. I either blocked it out or never had a problem with it.

All time favorite is San Andreas, but I have warm regards for GTA 3 and Vice City as well. I generally never play one without playing the other two as well.Comment

There's also "Snail Trail" where you have to follow the reporter on a train headed to Market Station in Los Santos.Comment
