Just watching some of the facial expressions during conversations and it's like watching a movie.

    - It's probably my TV but so far I prefer the 60fps/1800p of performance mode over the 30fps/4K of resolution.
    - I'll never get tired of a Lance Reddick performance he's perfect as Sylens
    - I've read that the trophy descriptions might be a bit spoiler heavy, so you might want to avoid those.

Also had to get in a quick attempt at photo mode:

It really is a huge step up from last Gen just in terms of production and execution. I'm in love so far.

I actually gave up in the first game initially. It was partially because I felt the game was pretty hard and partially because it maybe wasn’t what I was expecting. Really enjoyed it second time through.

One thing I have not liked in either game is the movement of Aloy. Compared to other games the movement just feels slightly spastic. Not sure. It just feels a tiny bit fast or off. I’ve just started West and I hated the fact my very first target objective was bugged. Had to restart from save. I have seen that it’s an issue for a number of people online so I hope it’s not a bad sign this game may be buggy throughout.

Edit: I should add you get used to the movement quickly but both games it felt odd initially. I think the game looks great although outside of frame rate I don’t think we are going to see a big leap over the PS4 Pro. I don’t see much of a difference between resolution and frame rate so I choose frame rate/performance every time.

Yes the graphics upgrade on cyberpunk is pretty on par with horizon. Kena and returnal are super small and pretty linear and like 1/10 of size of horizon. Not sure those games are comparable with horizon. Same with control.

This is going to be the first game I play on my PS5. Really looking forward to it, as I enjoyed the first HZD quite a bit.

Finally got time to play tonight for about 2 hours just got past the like intro. The intro was awesome and one of the areas kind of reminded me of something from zelda TP. I should get more time to play tomorrow and also on sunday. Have not played a lot of video games the last few weeks with olympics going on and my normal sports to watch.

I’m well past the tutorial but haven’t unlocked the rest of the map yet. At what point does the day night and weather start cycling? So far it’s only been just day and sunny and I’m about 6-7 hours into my play through. I take it very slowly though in all honesty so I haven’t done too many missions.

Disagree this game and ratchet are at another level when it comes to graphics compared to any other ps5 game.

Crazy how badly this game is getting review bombed on metacritic.

This game looks like its going to be sonys botw.

About 6 hours into the game now. The game started off slow but is starting to pick up now. I think I have seen like 8 of the like 43 different machines now or something.

17 hours in. So far this is everything I wanted it to be. I think I'm at probably 12% overall progression. Taking down machines in interesting ways never gets old.

Something i also appreciate is that Aloy calls out things in the environment. Especially helpful when she identifies a machine, plant or interesting are you didn't notice or how to go about solving a puzzle.

Also I highly suggest giving the side activity of playing games of "Machine Strike" a go. I could see it being released as a standalone game like they did with Gwent from The Witcher 3.

Interesting you like Aloy calling out things. I don't mind it my self but a lot of people are complaining about it lol.

I just fought the truttle that you like see In the announcement trailer died for like a hour and a half before I beat that machine.

Really, people don't like the talking, that's interesting. I think her calling stuff out is immersive personally. Since we're the ones doing the movement it comes off like someone just talking to themselves or just the voice in your head (which i recently found out not all people actually "hear" that)

I've only seen maybe 10 seconds of any trailers for the game so i don't know which machine you're talking about either way I look forward to taking it on. Think I've come across 10 different machines so far.
