Graphically this game looks dull. There is a lot to do though. But yeah having played A Plague Tale Requiem and COD Modernwarfare 2 campaign this week and then playing this, one notices how dull the graphics are compared to the other 2 games.

For me, it looks like what you expect Arkham Knight would look like on max PC settings. Whereas the other games, looks more next gen.

There's several quest lines that are part of the main story. Overall, there's

        total quests.

The above does not include the villain side quest lines.

I don't want to read anything or watch anyone play this....but I'd like to understand a couple of things if someone can help.

How is it set up with the characters? Are you forced to use different characters for different missions (a la Avengers) or can you choose one character the whole time?

Also, are there any influential dialogue choices that can alter the story in a meaningful way or is it just a button masher like the Arkham games?

You choose which character you want to start the game with and after the prologue ends, you go to your home base and if you want to switch characters, you can do so here. But you're not required to do so. It's entirely up to you. I have been playing as Batgirl my entire play through which is about 15 or so hours.

There's no dialogue choices. It's all preset. The only difference is that you'll get one side quest story line that's connected to the character that you're playing as so if you want the other three, you'll have to switch between characters in order to see and go through them.

Other than that, there are some minor differences with the story based on the character that you're playing as but as far as I know, it's all minor at most and the overall plot and whatnot stays the same.

I am about 10 hours in. I like the game overall. I do agree with some of the reviews that said the game has a "multiplayer game as a service" core. It does feel grindy at times. The story is solid and the game really shines during the specific villain case files. Theres a scale to them that I love. The other stuff does feel like multiplayer filler.

So I put the in game contrast setting on 70. Game look better now. On default everything looked white washed.

                    Re: Gotham Knights

                    Completed Gotham Knights earlier today.

Graphics - 9.0/10 (excellent, world looks good but doesn't "pop" to me like Arkham Knight did, character models and designs are all solid even though enemy types obviously repeat)

Audio - 7.0/10 (good, voice acting is really solid but some of the music, not so much, sound effects were good)

Gameplay/Combat - 7.0/10 (good, prefer the Arkham counter style combat over the dodging in Gotham, absolutely disliked the requirements needed in order to progress, not a fan of the RPG elements or the loot system at all as it serves no purpose, skill tree is solid but not great, no jump button (smh), grappling hook, gliding and batcycle were all good, in general, wonky controls and movement at times plus not having a 60fps option doesn't help, even on very easy, bosses are sponges and there's more but I don't remember it all, lol)

Story/Characters - 9.0/10 (excellent, enjoyed the main story overall and kept me engaged to where I wanted to see it all through, don't like the requirements needed in order to progress at times and was expecting better side story quest lines with the villains but still, liked everything and there's a twist here and there)

Optional Side Content - No Rating (didn't do much after the first day of release because it's just so boring and not all that enjoyable, the side villains are the highlight but like with the main story, there's at times requirements in order to progress)

Overall - 8.0/10 (great game carried by the story and characters all around, long story short, feels like Batman version of Marvel's Avengers, loot system and whatnot is so out of place in my opinion, after a while, I didn't care, just wanted to see the story through, didn't rate the side content mainly due to the fact that I didn't do much besides the side villains story lines and for me to rate this category, I have to complete at least 90% of it and I wasn't even close so in a way, this game gets a slight pass from me)

Total play time was around 25+ hours. Played 10+ hours on hard and then decreased to easy and later on, very easy as I just wanted to wrap up the game. Enemies are way too spongy and in all honesty, this game shouldn't have been a loot driven RPG. Same mistake as Avengers. I do hope those that are playing the game enjoy it more than I did as I for one am happy to move on to my next game.

Honestly, they are all a blast to play with when you max out their abilities. If I had to pick one, I'd say I feel most badass with Robin.

                            Re: Gotham Knights

Finally beat it. Might only be 8 missions, but it is so much stuff to do and some of these missions are LONG, especially the boss fights. I ended up beating with Batgirl. Even though Red Hood was my main 95% of the time, however Batgirl abilities just made the last 3 missions doable for me with her abilities. I will say this game does a bad job at letting you know what is a main story mission and what is a side quest. I was doing side quests thinking they were main.

The loot system could be better and I wish there was a way to specifically lock on a target. At times during combat the camera swings the wrong direction. Other then that, I give this game an 8 out of 10. For me it is Red Hood > Batgirl > Robin > Knight Wing far as fun to play as and how powerful they are. The only knock I have Red Hood is he moves a tad bit slow and in the second half of the game where the swarms become bigger he can be overwhelmed. Batgirl is a crowd control master.

I agree with a lot of this. I just finished the game as well. I ended up competing the main story arc thinking I was finishing just another case file. It made completing the last case file feel hollow as I had already seen how the main story ended. There's just a lot going on and it isn't explained well. This is the rare game where I completely agree with the general consensus and game reviews. I'd give it a solid 7/10. All in all I enjoyed the ride, though.

Is it just me or are the legendary loot items rarely dropping ? I'm doing all the very high and high missions. Hell I even only came across 1 member off the most wanted list too, which is weird considered how many very high missions I have done.
