Just started playing the game like a week or so ago after it was on sale for $40. I think I have put about 10 hours on it so far. The game is fun over all but bosses take way too many hits to beat and the combat is way to button mashing compared to the Arkham games. Was a major mistake to not just use the arkham free flow system that is far superior of a system. Games makes me want a arkham game for ps5 even more. Looking forward to suicide squad kill the justice league far more has I think rocksteady is the far better studio.

I’m looking forward to Suicide Squad as well, however, I think you may be more disappointed with that, as Gotham Knights appears to be more of a spiritual successor to the Arkham series than Suicide Squad looks to be. Suicide Squad looks like a fast paced hybrid shooter/fighting game. I could be wrong, but it looks nowhere close to an Arkham game.

Yes it looks way different than Arkham I am just saying I trust rocksteady more to make a good/great game and from the little gameplay we have seen of suicide squad it looks fantastic. I wish we could have gotten another Arkham game on PS5 though. I still think there was enough to make another Arkham and not have it be to much of the same. With the way Arkham ended to they could have just had it that Batman faked his death and had robin and such take over and it wouldn't have been all that different than what we got story wise either.

Wife got me the game for Christmas. Honestly, I am pleasantly surprised by the game. I am not going to compare it to the Arkham series, since it will be hard to measure up to that. But overall, I am enjoying the game. I am currently going through as Batgirl and trying to just do the side missions instead of quickly advancing through the main story. I will update once I have finished the full game.

Recently started playing this again. I’m torn because I can see the vision but there’s something missing that I can’t put my finger on. Actually, it doesn’t appear to move as smoothly or organically as I remember the Arkham series movement and its sorely missing a counter system.

It’s cool, I’m playing and somewhat enjoying but it doesn’t have that “it” factor that some games have that makes me want to get home as soon as possible for another session. Not sure how long this sudden urge to play will last this go around. Going to take some discipline and a strong imagination!
