Well worth it. Great laid back experience in terms of the gameplay, and the story is usually pretty engaging.

The $70 price tag is a little much for me. I'll get it when it goes on sale, but I'm looking forward to it.

I caved and pre-ordered this last night. I've lately grown more fond of "fun" games vs the more hyper-realistic "serious" games. This one just looks like it will be a fun romp; ready to dig into it over the weekend.

Do it they are great games and its sounding like this might be the best one yet.

Playing Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is like being served a hot chocolate by Bob Ross while he tells you that your sports team just won the league.

I just saw that head line that is the funniest coolest headline I have seen in a reivew lol

I had never played the series until the one that was PS4 and I only did that a few months ago. The story didn't do much for me, but its a fun change of pace type game. The kind of game you can sit back and relax and have a fun time while listening to a podcast are something. I'm looking forward to this one, but I'll wait a few months for a price drop. Its a different type game with the cartoonish style of it.

This game looks and feels amazing. I’m not even a real big fan of the franchise and I absolutely love it. This is what I had in mind when the new consoles were announced. Playing on the performance RT mode that’s 60fps with Ray Tracing. Just a work of art thus far.

I am going to finish Mass Effect Trilogy and pick this up.

Look forward to the impressions in this thread.

This game is a absolutely stunning. The load times in themselves are jaw dropping. There have been a few time I’ve told myself “oh I’m supposed to play now” seamless transitions between cutscene and gameplay. If sports games get on this level we are in for a treat this gen.

Re: Ratchet and clank rift apart.

So far my thoughts after just under 2 hours played no spoilers.

                  1. It really is amazing how good the graphics are really do fell like I am playing a Pixar movie just want to stop at times and look around.

                  2. The PlayStation 5 rumble and triggers are used pretty well first game I can say that out side of astro bot. The second are the area from the state of play video the like club area you can fell the music it's pretty cool.

                  3. Kind of early to say but soundtrack might be better than the other games in the franchise.

                  4. The humor so far has been pretty good think it's more like the older games and less like the 2016 game.

                  5. Clearly insomniac learned with set peaces with spiderman.

                  6. Last photo mode I looked at have not really used yet have taken some photos outside of photo mode but there are a lot of frame options. I have not looked at the sticker options.

Just played for a couple hours and was fun but ran into my first issue when I went to warp and instead I fell into an abyss and it never loaded the next area, instead it froze my PS5 completely to the point I had to pull the power cord as nothing would register. This was on fidelity mode which glancing online seems games with ray tracing have had this same issue, switched to performance mode so will see if that helps.

Have read about this issue a couple of times, thankfully I have not experienced it after about 10 hour of gameplay. I have played exclusively on performance RT mode though.

Incredibly well crafted gameplay mechanics + awesome visuals.

This game is a ton of fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously, its just a great time.

I sunk a good 10 hours into it on Sunday and the whole experience is just a positive. Anyone on the fence, I'd absolutely recommend it.

I'm about 30% through the game. It really does feel nextgen. I have had a few clipping issues where I have fallen through the map and died. I also feel like they could have done a better job of indicating exactly where we can go. I have jumped to my death a few times trying to access an area only to realize it's out of bounds. Other than that the game is great.

52% completed thus far. Playing on Renegade Legend difficulty. Excellent looking and playing game even though there's a lot of pop-in literally a few feet in front of Ratchet when walking/running/hovering on the current planet that im on. Also, in the same planet, I fell through the world and had to quit the game and then restart from the title screen.

I am around 9 maybe 10 hours in and I think I am around 75% of the way threw the story still got some side stuff I have not done. I am having trouble with a challenge on silver in the challenge arena. I am playing on the second hardest difficulty. This will be my game of the year if we don't get Horizon Forbidden west this year even though I still think that game will be out around November this year. I think I got around 4 weapons so far that I have not gotten yet and most of my weapons are at level 3-5 have not gotten any above 5 yet and a few weapons stand out to me.
