Nope, I played with my friend and I didn't progression. That the new coop. Far cry 5 and 6 is like that. I don't know what developer are thinking when they do this, that's not coop. It's helping friends and others. I regret to get the game.

2nd anniversary update just dropped. The biggest thing added was firearms. They've also added coop missions. They've updated the game a ton in the last 2 years and right now it's free to play for a week. Another nice bonus is that they made the bloody ties DLC free for all players too.

Is the melee combat any better. I liked the combat from the first game more than the second one.

I don't know when you last played but there was an update called the gut feeling update that made really good improvements to melee combat. It's closer to DL1 with more impact full combat and there's less canned animations. They've also added finishers similar to Dead Island 2 if you've played that.

They've added a bunch more enemy types, changed the nighttime to be closer to DL1 with roaming volatiles. If you were disappointed by the launch version I think you'll like all the new updates. A lot of them have been made specifically to play closer to the first game. Just a lot more enjoyable on the whole.

Where is it free to play? I looked on Xbox and it's not there, are you talking about PS5 or Steam?
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

I just looked it up and it's just on steam.
