At $400, I'll probably wait awhile, particularly considering the quality of most launch games. Unless these systems have games that are out of this world compared to XBox and PS2 I'll just wait.

Makes sense to me my XBOX seems to be serving me well so far,so until I get somemore info other then that $400 buck price tag I want to know just whats under the hood of that bad boy and read up on some serious details and specs.

Just something I do to save myself a bunch of grief and disapointment,the last XBOX I bought at its first release had those crazy "Thompson" drives and I ended up having to trade it in for the newer one with serious files saved to the hard drive and it wasn't feesable at the time to download them all and I lost some pretty good saves on it,so I want to know for a fact that this won't happen again because of defective or faulty hard drives or any other type of isssues that might come up. I'll get one but it won't be that day one release I'll let the hype die down some.

If that happens again you should just get a memory card. i was able to transfer all my saves(although I lost all of my music, that was the worst part of it since I don't have those songs anymore).

You guys ever tried the music mixer?

I've been tempted to pick it up used.... It lets you transer your music/pics/gamesaves to your pc? I may be wrong though...

Ditto. One look at the next generation sports titles, and I'll be ready to plunk down the cash. Personally I'd rather wait a year for a price drop, but I'm weak.

I'll probably wait unless their is a game at launch that really interests me. I got an Xbox a couple of months ago, so I want to use that for a while first.

whichever doesn't require a memory card. that's why i got an xbox and i love it. i like how it's like my first nintendo. with all the great technology out and stuff i don't get how there is an extra cost on the ps2 if you want to do something like save your game.
