I will stick with my original complaints after playing for a few more hours. Game is absurdly difficult. No question in my mind, that a huge percentage of people will be extremely frustrated with this game. People have been saying that you should move on if a particular area is too tough. Move on where? You have no idea where to go. Furthermore, how do you know where enemies are that aren't going to take you 50 times to defeat? I went to an enemy camp very early on, and I have tried to defeat them one by one, and after 20 times, I gave up. I don't know how anyone can find that fun. If you don't have an enormous amount of patience, don't try this game. It's a shame, if the developers would have offered difficulty levels, a lot more people would have enjoyed this.

I got a buddy that loves Souls games and is super hyped for this. He's trying to get me to check it out but I threw a controller playing Pokemon Legends Arceus the other day lol. I don't think it would be safe.NCAA: Kentucky Wildcats

You’re not using all your tools at your disposal. Watch someone on YouTube who is good at the game. It’s not easy but it’s also not as hard as you’re making it out to be. I’d say I’m average at best at gaming. I don’t play games online at all because of that. I don’t even pay higher than All-Pro on sports games. So if I can play I think the average is fine.Comment

Re: Elden Ring
It's really absurd there is no ultrawide support on the PC. I realize that the devs said there wasn't going to be but still think it's silly. I hope someone can mod it or something to make it ultrawide.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Elden Ring
Be aware that this game is having save issues. This is literally the first game i have ever played in my life where i have had to completely start over. Only 4 hours lost.

Good to know. I’ve played over 15 hours and haven’t had any issues. Didn’t here of any in the reviews either, where guys played 60+ hours.Comment

Re: Elden Ring
Sorry, but this game is garbage. I died 30 times in 15 minutes at the very start of the game. Absolutely ridiculous for it to be that hard. If you don't like an incredible challenge, DO NOT buy this game. Maybe 1 percent of people will beat this game. If you can't progress in a game because it's so incredibly difficult, what the hell do you do? ******* ridiculous.
I feel you. Thought I’d give it a try after hearing if you get stuck you can just go somewhere else but an hour into the game I’ve made about five minutes of progress and have run out of places to go so now I have no idea what to do. I may as well have paid someone $60 to kick me in the dick for an hour.
The combat feels slow and clunky as hell, especially after playing Ghost of Tsushima. Blocking seems to be useless and you can’t counter attack after dodging so how in the hell am I supposed to progress.
Hats off to those of you who are having fun with it but I just don’t see the appeal so far.

Re: Elden Ring
Early thought (first non-tutorial boss + some aimless wandering): I never knew how much I needed Breath of the Souls in my life. Honestly had my doubts about how the structure would transfer over to open-world, but it's done so well IMO.
Lots of QoL in this that didn't show up in previous FromSoft games - certainly doesn't make the game any easier but far less frustrating.Comment

Re: Elden Ring
Played some more today and I am done. I really don’t see how I am expected to make any progress when everything I encounter kills me in 2-3 hits.
And the combat just does not feel good at all. It feels like there is a delay with everything and there is no fluidity.
People keep on telling me to just wait for it to ‘click’ and once it does the game and so good but I’m just not feeling it and don’t feel like wasting any more of my time on a game that feels like it needs a lot of polish considering you can’t play aggressively or defensively. Seems like your only option is to run away from everything.
This game is like a Monty Python ‘run away’ simulator. 0/10. Would not recommend. [emoji107]
