Got the game today, it's just as awesome as I had hoped. The characters are cool, you really do end up caring about your men and it sucks if one gets killed. The beginning is pretty sweet, very movie like, very close to Band of Brothers style.
        Lives and Dies With:
        MLB- Tigers
        NHL- Redwings
        NFL- Lions
        NBA -Pistons
        ECHL - Toledo Walleyes
        NCAA- Toledo Rockets
        AAA - Toledo Mud Hens

I'd agree, I'll go ahead a give some inital impressions.

            1. Gameplay - this is one of the best shooters ever, as said before it plays like a WW2 FSW where you actually get to shoot. I'm on the mission where you have to capture the church and its been pretty intense so far. The AI in this game is not stupid and won't wait for you to come shoot them. Some of the scenes in this are very lifelike and realistic and theres always that "Yes!" feeling after poppin' a bunch of Germans.

            2. Atmosphere - Since the devs in this game actually modeled Normandy as it was in 1944 this is unreal, given how large some of the maps are you really feel like you're there, this game accomplishes what many ww2 shooters don't and excels all the way.

            3. Graphics - This is probably the best looking ww2 shooter ever seen, plus it has nice scenery and presentations, however due to the intense nature of fighting you never really have time to notice how good it looks.

Other - This is definately not the type of shooter where you charge in guns blazing, this is all about tactics and outflanking the enemy posistions. On the harder levels a few shots will kill you, so you can't play this game like you're Rambo (like in MoH) there are no health packs to be found so you gotta make yourself and your squad last the entire mission (while if one of your guys dies its not permanent it does hamper the ability to efficently finish the mission.) Overall so far this game is so good that if I had the cash I'd buy all my friends a copy of it! I'd reccommend anyone who was on the fence about buying it to get on the other side of the fence and take some cover b/c its just that good.

Sucks because the Ps2 version stinks, the Ps2 doesnt handle FPS very well, I went to my Mates house who had the xbox version and its a totally different looking game. Ill be returning the Ps2 version ASAP!

                    Ps2 version? I thought PC and ps2 version don't hit until 3/15.

I don't have time for detailed impressions right now but I pick this one up today and checked it out for a little bit. It's as good as I was hoping it would be. It's like a combination of Call of Duty (PC version), Full Spectrum Warrior, and Saving Private Ryan. Can't wait to check it out online this weekend.
