Yep I've been following this for a along time, I've been a big fan of the Silent Hunter series since SH1 came out in '96.

didn't even know this was coming, but I'm so hyped now. I remember playing 686 Attack Sub on the Genesis, as well as the first Silent Hunter...I'm a big fan of sub games, when they're done well. There hasn't been a good one in ages, thanks a lot for posting this!

Yep...me too.
The first game I ever bought for my PC(I can't believe how long ago that was) was Silent Service. It's sequal..Silent Service II was such an awesome game for it's time.
I wish someone would redo THAT game...I like the American subs....

I remember Aces of the Deep too...but have no clue what subsim is, so probably not active on it just a fan of submarines in general (I'm a big Clancy book fan, and just general war game fan)...it's a lot of fun being the silent killer in a well done game

I loved Silent Hunter I on PC, and really got into it when it came out. Now, I really want to play it again, but I can't find it anywhere . I have a feeling it ended up getting thrown away.

I have So many copies of AOD it isn't even funny, the original 3 1/2 floppys, the CD verison and the Command: AOD win 95 version. Plus I still have many copies of the Map it came with, AOD was a great game. SH I was good but AOD was still way better. BTW: Subsim is a website that most most of the SH III coverage as the admin over there is in contact with the SH3 Dev team, you could check it out sometime www.subsim.com
