Nice shots. Just picked up this game today. Excellent so far. Makes me think of the first game I ever got for a PC...Silent Service. Silent Service II is still one of my favorite games of all time.
While I'm sure I will love this game...I wish someone would redo the ALLIED submarine service again. It's tough playing the Germans(and I'm Austrian by descent!)....I hate to sink allied craft...well almost...
anyway...are you sure they had resupply at sea for the Axis?..especially early in the war. Maybe later?

They definitely had resupply at sea later in the war, not too sure on the starting date for them though....I believe milk cows were around '42. I'm pretty sure I've read that milk cows didn't make into the game and would be addressed in a patch or addon in addition to possibly wolfpacks.

          Wolfpacks! Nice.
Oh how I would love to play a game where I commanded a cruiser or destroyer and had to defend myself against a wolfpack!
Resupply at sea would be a nice addition.
Oh and I hope firing solutions are tough to figure! It should be a nice challenge...especially when getting depth charged!
This game has me psyched. I'm trying to find my old maps I had made for Silent Service II and Aces of the Deep. The map with the game is okay...but a little larger would have been nice. I'll have to enlarge it and have it laminated so I can use the grease pencil on it. Man, I don't know how my wife puts up with me.

Milk cows are going to be in the 2nd patch, Wolfpacks aren't in the game but using the missione ditor might be possible to add.

                  Sounds good. Thanks fellas.

Task Force 1942. That was the game that let you command a small force of ships. Heh, took me awhile to get used to that game. After the patch...I had some fun with that one.

it'd be cool if they did a 70's/80's cold war sub game, with some war theme going on...it'd be cool to get behind a Los Angeles or Ohio class sub and do some hurtin'.

I'm digging this though, finally getting a good feel for the game, ran the Bismark single mission and was able to complete it...might mess around with torpedo solutions just to see how it is, but probably a bit too much for me right now. Career mode should be a blast too.

Oh, one question, does it sometimes take 4 torpedos to sink a battleship? maybe even more? just wondering, I crippled one with 2 shots and then had to take like 2 or 3 more to get it to explode, wanted to know if that was correct, or if I'm doing something wrong (aiming or whatever)

I think it depends on if you have realistic sinkings turned on. It also does depend on where you hit the ship. If you can get a magnetic detonation right under the keel, you should be able to sink nearly anything with one shot.

On a practice career I'm doing to get the manual TDC down, I hit a small cargo ship with one torpedo and it continued for about 30 game minutes until it finally sunk. So I don't think there are a set number of torps it takes to sink ships, it just kind of depends on where you hit it and how much damage the ship can sustain before sinking.

is there a good strategy to plot the course of a ship, and figure out the best course you have to take? I know there's the ruler, which helps a lot, just didn't know if I had to make the knots conversion to something that can help me plot on the map and figure out where my best course is to sneak in and take someone out...as of now I've just tried to eye it, but when some ships are moving faster it's tough to guess
