hmm a few mine type areas in the early game. What class are you playing? Any environmental items you can use to give you a bonus like a wine barrel that you can set on fire?

I’m a paladin. Have shadow heart healer and the other rogue with me.

30 hours in and I still have yet to finish Act 1. I'm having a blast and already anticipating my next playthrough with a new character and different decisions.

This game is becoming not just my favorite of the year, but one of my favorites of all time.

There are many things to love about BG3, but one thing that is of growing annoyance to me is the loot and itemization system. Specifically how not every character has some kind of loot. Also, unless I am mistaken, it seems like if you kill a trader then most of their goods become lost. It makes the game lose a little bit of immersion versus something like a Bethesda game when it seems like certain items getting absorbed into another dimension upon death.

I am still deciding if I want to get it on the PC or wait until September to play it on the PS5.

I'd say PC only for the ability to use mods. I'm using a multiplayer mod in a run with my friends to play 5 players when the game only supports 4 originally.

First major patch has been released.

Other game companies take note. This is how what patch notes SHOULD look like.

That's what I have been leaning toward. But tempting to play it on a 50 inch screen as opposed to a 33 inch screen lol.

I am reading the hardcover D&D fifth edition rules book in anticipation of this game (PS5). I freaking can’t wait!!!

So the early release for PS5 is Sept 2? Anyone with correct information please clarify. Thanks

I like the whole "no physical release" thing a lot more when games aren't 150GB lol

40 hours in and still just in act 1. The amount of content in this game is amazing. They nailed making exploration feel engaging and not like a chore.

If I get to Starfield this year I may feel differently, but right now this is my game of the year and it isn't even close. This game is an 11 out of 10.

I don't think the GOTY is going to change. It's BG3 hands down, which I'll say even as someone who doesn't particularly like cRPGs and loves Action RPGs. It's going to be difficult to dethrone BG3 as game of the decade imo.

Only recently finished Act 1. Not exactly sure how many hours I have played since I ended up re-rolling my first character and I have a lot of hours spent idle. It's a lot though. Probably half of that time spent checking every single vase in every area

Currently a 5 Sorc/2 Lock. The Eldritch Blast on Warlock is basically OP, and it combines great with the sorcery points that Sorc gets. This really helps me still feel like a spellcaster since DnD rules are so punishing for spellcasters with the whole long rest mechanic (even if Long rests are super easy to do).

Already thinking about my next play through. I want to make an Oathbreak Paladin. Not sure if I will do Dark Urge again or try something custom (Dark Urge is just so unbelievably fun and interesting with the story).
