Recently started playing Far Cry 3 for the first time ever.

I think I have a new Top 5 gaming series. Can't wait to eventually get into 4, 5, and 6.

I know the "cool" thing to do is dump on Ubisoft, but to be honest their games have been the most enjoyable to me for quite some some time.

I remember the first time playing Far Cry 2 and was instantly hooked, and that stayed the same through 3,4,5 and 6...I didn't play Primal (didn't seem interesting to me) or New Dawn.

But I know for me when I want an open world game that I can get lost in (and looks damn good) I can count on Ubisoft. As of right now I have been playing the Division 2 and have been having a blast.

I also will definitely be checking out Star Wars Outlaws as well, just not at the $129.99 price tag, may just invest in the regular $69.99 edition, as it being a single player game I don't feel the need for 3 day access.

Well, thanks to this post I decided to reinstall FC5, and just wanted to say DAMN YOU!! lmao..I'm now hooked on this game, so much so it has pulled me away from the Division 2.

Along with the upgrade to visuals and 60fps, and this game looks incredible.

Well, thanks to this post I decided to reinstall FC5, and just wanted to say DAMN YOU!! lmao..I'm now hooked on this game, so much so it has pulled me away from the Division 2.

LMAO, it's funny you mention Primal as right now I'm in full blown Far Cry mode, so much so I just picked up Primal on my X for $8, and just this morning downloaded FC3 Classic, as it came free when I bought FC5 Gold Edition.

As of right now, I haven't tried New Dawn, as from some vids I seen on it it's quite a bit shorter than the other FC's, so not sure if I ever see myself picking that one up.

I really can't give a list of my favorites, as they all give me exactly what I'm looking for..

1-great open world
2-tons of stuff to do
3-The fun factor for me is absolutely top notch.

Although I will say that between 3,4,5 and 6, 6 would probably be my least favorite, but trust me it's not by much at all.

Started playing Primal again. The game still holds up visually and sound wise. Great to be able to tame the animal then have them hunt and kill for you. Now I have a huge brown bear as a companion.

Agreed 100%, although I'm still rocking with my first companion, the trusty wolf...I am going to be hopefully upgrading my companion here soon though.

Oh the awesomeness of riding on a Sabertooth tiger!!!! Game is so good.

May 30th seems like a good time to update.

• College Football 25 (pre-order)

MLB and CF were givens. Snagged Tekken yesterday on sale. WWE wasn't on my radar at the start of the year, but decided to give it a shot.

Edit: Used the Days of Play sale to snag both SF6 and FF7 Rebirth. That *should* be it for me this year.

PLAN TO PURCHASE
None at the moment, though I'll probably pick up a disc version of M25 since there's a Niner on the cover. If it gets enough positive reviews on here, I may snag a digital version to play.

Real life kind of sucked the fun out of gaming for me for the last few months. I have recently started to get back into it a little bit though. I'm still going to try to hit my 2024 goals, but I'm not optimistic. I am also pretty much bypassing all new games at this point except for EA CFB.



2024 Goals:
With so few new releases that I'm really excited for I am making this the year of completing titles. I failed my goal too complete 3 games in 2023, but I did make significant progress in a number of them.

1.) Complete 4 of the following games that I am carrying over from 2023

A few games did pop up during the spring/summer event that's been added to my list and I don't think anything from Gamescom will unless, MS shows off something new with rumors rampant. What's been surprising is that the sport games (less hockey) have been very good from past games and still showing me that my number one passion is still sports games. Besides that, most of my wanted games will be coming in the second half of the year. Only one, is a day one purchase.

I'm still interested in the Q3 but put it to the wait list since I'm intrigued with how the PSVR2 headset will work with pc. It's just a matter of time but it will all come to together once I put my VR cockpit together.

Finished - Banishers: Ghost of New Eden - Such a great game. The story, gameplay, main characters all top notch. Shame it came out at a horrible time and quickly got overshadowed.

Still trying to find my gaming happy place overall. I definitely think I'm getting back to what works best. Last few months been thinking about the last time I really was locked in and enjoyed gaming. Which brought me back to a period where I was only ever playing probably 2 games at max. Overwatch was a mainstay and along with that I completed Bloodborne, Horizon Zero Dawn and the Witcher 3. Might have been other games in there but I can't recall right now.

So I decided to try and get back to that with my current setup. Right now my "Two" games are The Division 2 and Stellar Blade. With D2 taking the OW spot. My gaming enjoyment has really increased with the narrowed down focus.

The only addition now I'm allowing for sports games to be in rotation. As those really don't demand a lot of attention and can be dropped and picked up at random with little effort .

Gran Turismo and Beat Saber just to make use of PSVR2 when the mood strikes.

I just can't seem to get into much of anything gaming-related these days. This is partly due to my schedule and that I'm really only able to play on weekends (when I do have time during the week I'm too tired to stay up late enough to play, lol), so makes it tough to commit to say, an MLB The Show franchise, when I'd only be playing a couple of games a week.

Even still, if I had more time I don't know if I would be spending it gaming. The sports titles this gen have for me as an offline player, been very underwhelming (as has the overall library of games across all genres). I know I'm not part of the target audience, but the fun factor for these games just isn't there the way it once was.

I think CFB 25 and M25 are gonna bring it. If not I will give up on EA football.

But I can feel the heat and passion being brought this cycle. It’s been long over due.
