    Well, I had my DS and Tiger on ebay for a combined $150 for about 2 weeks and had no takers. I know I got ripped, but I had to pay off my PSP pre-order. Plus, I got an extra $10 because I have some perferred Shopper card from Gamestop. Also, there is a lot less hassle when trading in - I have been burned before with shady buyers.

              Pretty sure it's to save battery power and minimize and slowdown that might occur with that. I read an article explaining why and that was basically the gest of it.
