if they had to choose I think they'd go with Sony, they've always had a great relationship with them, whereas EA and Microsoft have been at odds on Live and other things...

Going by the numbers ps2 accounts of approx. 40% of EA's revenue while XBox is around 15-20%. Although XBox did make gains, it's still clear ps2 is EA's bread and butter.

Sony, the install base of the PS2 is huge especially when you factor in World Wide Sales.

Do you think it will be the same next gen ?The reason why i ask for instance they keep saying madden 2006 will be on xbox 2 .But only as a port from the ps2 . Then we will all see real next gen ea games when the ps3 arives. I mean why wouldnt they make it for the xbox 2 first then port it to ps3 . Does ea follow sonys lead. Thanks guys for your feedback.

I think it will be the same with next gen systems simply because international sales are such a huge part of EA's revenue. (about 50%) Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe ps2 is much more successful internationally than xbox.
