    I caved.

I haven't had a lot of time with it, but my initial impression is .... blown out of the water. I'm really impressed with the hardware itself, the video playback, and Lumines.

    to devilsjaw ..... I don't know yet.

I'll probably blog some more detailed impressions on Monday, and hope to be reviewing some of the sports titles.

Yes - every wireless router I know of has at least 4 standard ports for connecting Cat 5 cable.

Once you set up your wireless network, you simply set up a connection by providing the name of your wireless network and your password (if you have one) .... it should take care of the rest.

I'm not sure yet how important the wireless is. Being able to check for firmware updates is darn cool, though. You might try bringing it to an internet cafe (even many Borders Books and Starbucks now doi it) where wireless connections are available .... test it out before dropping cash on a wireless router.

My only gripe is the lack of quality games available right now. I can't wait to get my hands on FIFA and a baseball title (MLB or MVP).

Winning Eleven and Resident Evil will be available for the PSP in the near future as well.

I'd honestly wait until pre xmas time when there are tons of games and they have a STANDARD system for 200 bucks .

I'm gonna have to agree with Wally. I'm having fun with my PSP so yes it was worth it. However waiting for a price drop would be wise as well.

My PSP just aquired my wireless connections...I did not have to provide the network.
I have the Japanese version and have already updated the firmware to 1.5 to bring it up to the U.S. version.
Excellent system. I'm impressed with it as well.
When more and more games become available, I could see myself logging a good amount of time with it.

I don't know about the PSP aspect but you can just plug your current desktops directly into the wireless router and use it like a normal router and you would not have to buy wireless cards for them.
