    Re: First PSP Game

I just do not see the enjoyment of using this thing for anything but gaming.
Taking to time to convert video to watch on a tiny screen just does not interest me. Buying more storage cards for mp3 does no interest me. Why pay for a 1 gig card when you can now get an Ipod mini (Or any mp3 player)for $200 that holds 4 gig, an easy to use interface, and I am guessing better sound quality. I know I am in the minority but just thought I would give my $.02.

I will convert video for a plane trip or traveling. Picture looks great and doesn't look so tiny once you start watching. I have a few pictures on mine now. I had some pictures to show my parents today and rather than print em out I put them on the PSP before I left.

That settles it, getting the 512 card.

I agree with this, but the PSP is convienent, no more devices to carry around, I can bring the PSP, have videos, music, and games at my finger tips and it's all in one device.

Exactly. It's a media Swiss Army Knife.

It's not as good as the individual components, but it puts it all together.

I only have a 256MB card right now. I'd hold out for the gig if you can.

I can get a one hour or 3 1/2 hour shows on one card in good quality. USE the variable bit rate in PSPVIDEO 9! QB4 works wonders!

Hell I even had an Illini game on there...well part of it. If I had a gig I put hours of TV shows on it.

Fossen is dead on. It's the sum of the parts that makes this so special...and it just looks cool. My wife laughs at me for cleaning the screen between holes in Tiger Woods cuz I want to keep it clean.

the main use for my Mp3 player is the gym and yardwork. I would never use the PSP for that as it is too damn big and I don't want to risk breaking it.

Funny how my Iriver H10 cost $279 and I have no problems beating the crap out of it but I treat my $249 PSP like a new born child

Found a 1 gig on Ebay for 109.99 with free shipping. I think I'm going to get it... can't beat the price! Anyone see anything suspecious about it?

EDIT Nevermind, it's the normal stick, not the duo pro.

pretty sure that one will not work with the psp. I think you need the Pro Duo memory stick

Yeah, it looks like I'm going with the 512MB one, the 1gig's are just too expensive.

If you put in your Zip on the EBgames website you can see if stores in your area have the min stock. I found 1 gig cards at 4 EB all within 20 miles of my house. I have no desire to get one but just a heads up that they are out there

Call me dumb, but I am intrigued.....

How do all of you have TV shows and movies on your computer? Where do you get them from? I have a Mac, and TiVoToGo left us out of their loop and am wondering if you ripped from DVD or used a p2p?

If you used a p2p, just say so, and leave it at that. I don't want to break any TOS agreements here.
