I forgot to mention but on the first Jade Empire disk is a demo of Conkers fur day and it is awesome. It is the scene from Saving Private Ryan and it is hillarious. There is also supposed to be a demo for forza but I guess it is on the other disk that I forgot to load.

Re: IGN gives Jade Empire a............
OK guys, question.
I'm really close to picking this game up(Maybe 30 minutes or so) but as many may know or did'nt know, I'm a Morrowind nuthugger. Do you think this game would be good for me?
I'm not exactly looking for another Morrowind but is this game anything like KOTOR? I want depth and more depth when it comes to my games. I was kinda dissapointed when I read that the customization is rather limited. So in other words, is JE more or less indepth than KOTOR? I read somewhere also that the game is somewhat linear. As in the way the levels are designed, is this true?
Thanks in advance.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Originally posted by TCrouchOf course. I could buy that if the main character didn't have his family (and people) slaughtered by the "evil menace". He's the "last of his kind" as a Spirit Monk, much like Jedi, etc. There are just way too many similarities to be purely coincidental.

Re: IGN gives Jade Empire a............
This info is only within the first 2 hours of the game. I talked to everyone and tried exploring as much as I could.
There is very little inventory in the game. The instructions say if you find a better sword than the one you have it will be automatically replaced. You can pick up gems but that seems about all. So if you like equiping you might be dissappointed.
There is not much to interact with. You can read some scrolls or shrines and open barrels but not much else, although there are many people to talk to and most have various dialog lines to follow. They do give you some good lines to say and they have good reactions when you say something "mean".
There is some room for exploring but it is nothing near morrowind.
Hope this helps. I do like the game but it isn't for everyone. I should get about 5 hours of more playtime tonight so I will let you know.XBL: Countach

Thanks alot man. I'm gonna give this a rental first. I like alot of meaningless micro-managing in my games(thats why I'm such a sports freak) and I've already heard enough about this game being more action oriented than RPG.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: IGN gives Jade Empire a............
I can't freaking believe that I read all those posts ya'll drop. I really didn't like how so many sites had high reviews. I was really pushing towards Gamespot cause they seem to be fair with their assessments of games. Ironically, this is a first that I've heard that they had the wrong rating for a game. Now, I'm believing they could. I do love Eastern culture so this will really interest me. I'm so broke that it ain't funny. I do like what I hear. I've seen the screenshots. Look beautiful. Thinking aobut using one of those pics for my background. Let me stop though.
I like the thought of having real-time fighting which really turned me off from a lot of rpgs. I do like the concepts of RPGs too but I hate the storylines. Star Wars is beautiful as a story, but I hate the fact that the turn base fighting is there. I just like the impulse gaming withing games. This seems like it will be a good buy. I think I might have to look on Ebay for a cheap one though cause I sure don't have the money to be spending like that unless someone would like to donate to the help me have the best game fun.
The thing I'm really wondering is are they possibly going to continue this game on the next gen with a new storyline and upgrade? I can see myself really getting engulfed into more styles of games with RPG structures. This might be the start of abeautiful friendship.Comment

Thanks for the impressions. Nice BG reference Jfsolo! SOunds like this might be up my alley. I think my wife would love it too. She's an RPG freak.Comment

The clerk at Best Buy told me this game was turn based combat but i'm confused, I thought it was real time combat. Can anyone confirm? I've read (I thought) it was real time and not turn based but now i'm wondering.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Best Buy couldn't tell you the difference between Lego Star Wars and KOTOR. You think they'd really know anything about the game mechanics?
It is most definitely real time. You position yourself in combat and strike in real time.Comment

Re: IGN gives Jade Empire a............
Is there a price difference between the regular game and the Limited edition? Also, what is the difference between the LE and the regular copy?

And since it's the same price as the regular copy it doesn't make much sense to not get the limited edition.
