No, nor do I. I used to own every system, I came to a conclusion about which one I preferred (Xbox), and I went ahead and got rid of the other ones. I am invested in as much as I want my system to do well enough that I don't have to worry about its viability, but I don't envision the Xbox 360 going to way of the Dreamcast or even being marginalized like the Gamecube, so it's not much of an issue. The Xbox 360 and PS3 are both going to move a ton of units, and it's highly likely that third party developers will put out games for both consoles in equal measure.

I didn't insinuate that you are a system fanboy either; I was just explaining my post regarding jmood. I'm not nearly as hardcore of a gamer as 99% of people here are regarding system power, multiple titles, etc.

Yea, but you are wrong on the "reason" they are having issues most likely. You would not sit there and get "bashed" if you actually had something great or better, or at least comparable to show right?

Yea youre right with the statement, but wrong on the assumption, it will be MS who shows next gen dominance at E3, not Sony.

If MS plays it right, they could kill Sony's launch next year. Since Xbox is coming out 6-12 months early, they could possibly do a price cut around the time the new PS3 comes out. Just a thought.

Sony will have their chance to show details about their system. Maybe they'll shed some light on it during E3.

You have a link to these problems they are having? I'm sure if they showed something now it would more than compare with what we've seen from 360.

And your "assumption" about next gen dominance is wrong also because no one knows who will have the better showing.

                LMAO!

I just saw this again, and had to post it. Microsoft's jab at Sony, during E3 last year.

                It's funny trust me...

Why would it "more than compare" with Xbox 360? Microsoft is pretty much doing everything they can to hype up their next-gen system before E3, they already have people interested and they haven't even begun the marketing war yet. Sony on the other hand is sitting on their hands with the PS3 and pushing the PSP as hard as they can. Plus add the fact that the xbox is pretty much 100% complete and Sony has yet to shed any "official" light on the PS3, Microsoft just seems like it will be the talk of every gamer after E3. Why do you want to talk about a system thats still in development when you can almost grasp the first system of next-generation consoles?

Microsoft's marketing team is doing a great job thus far and I'm sure as we can get closer to the release of PS3, MS will pick it up 100X more.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about specs and the direction the system is going in when he talked about "having something great or better, or at least comparable to show". In that case yea PS3 would be more than comparable, its not like Sony doesn't have a gameplan.

Everyone keeps saying Sony isn't showing anything, well neither is Nintendo. PS3 and Rev don't come out this year so I'm not sure what people want. E3 is right awround the corner, why don't you guys wait till after the show before saying who isn't showing what.

Well as of 5/10/05, sony hasn't shown anything at all. I don't know why you are getting so offended by this, all people are saying is that they haven't shown anything(which is true).

Sony is just doing what they did with the PS2, which is talk mainly about the CPU. Sony will have some really great stuff at E3, and it will probably blow us away.

I know Sony has a gameplan for their next-gen system. As of now, though, the marketing for MS has been excellent in their execution of hype and lead up to E3. MS isn't stupid. They know Sony will be hyping their **** probably around the time Xbox 360 comes out. Whenever Sony starts hyping their system, I'm sure MS will be ready and counter to calm dwon the hype.

And they have to show something before E3 because? Oh yea I forgot the system is due out this year right? If it were coming this year I would understand why people want info now (pre-E3) but fact is its not coming this year.

Sony doesn't have anything to prove. They'll show the PS3 at E3 and then put it under raps until next year.

They should at least try to stem all this pre-E3/Xbox 360 hype to Sony's side or at least try to simmer it down a little bit. Putting it under raps until next year would be a mistake. Xbox is only going to get bigger after E3 and if Sony doesn't try to control in some shape or form, Xbox is going to kill them in marketing.

This is out of Sony's hands thats my whole point. All they can do is show the PS3 at E3, try and give people (mainly Sony fans) a reason to wait and move on.

With the 360 coming out this year there is nothing Sony can do to steal its thunder unless the PS3 is really that much more powerful 360.
