Re: Official OS General MMO Information Thread
So I stopped playing TESO and Wildstar about a month after they came out. I kind of lost track of them since, did both of them kind of fail? I heard both are going F2P?
WS seemed like a good enough game, did it lack content?
Honestly the best MMO I have played in awhile is probably FF:Realm Reborn. I might get back into that"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Official OS General MMO Information Thread
I'm interested in playing them both, but not sure if I should dump the cash I'd spend to buy the box for TESO on stuff for Neverwinter instead
For Wildstar I tried 3 different times during a beta period to start a new character and was just bored before leaving the newbie area. Hoping to give it another shot. Liked a lot about it, just wasn't my thing at the time.
Unrelated, I randomly picked Marvel Heroes back up last night and threw 40 levels on Juggernaut. Kinda fun times.Comment

Re: Official OS General MMO Information Thread
What is everybody playing MMO wise? I love playing MMO's, but I just haven't been able to find one that sticks in a while. Here are some of the most recent ones I've played.
Guild Wars 2 - Solid game. I occasionally jump in every once in a while, but all my friends quit long ago. I also question the endgame content.
The Old Republic - I like advancing through the story, but again I no longer know anyone who plays. The combat is also rather mediocre. So, the only time it's really interesting is when I'm viewing the story.
Final Fantasy 15 - Interesting and seemed to have potential. Lack of people to play with (personally) and a pretty big grind kept me from sticking with it.
Wow - I recently tried for like the 12th time to get into Wow with a friend...I just can't. It's not fun to me. The questing of running to point A to point B back to point A is old every about 10 minutes.
I would love to find something that is fun to play again. The only game that has even a breath of potential it seems is Crowfall, but I have issues with so many of their design choices that I doubt it will be for me. It's not even in beta yet so I couldn't play it if i wanted to.Comment

Re: Official OS General MMO Information Thread
The one I currently still play, at least a few times a week, is Elders Scrolls Online on PS4. Its easy to get into a group & do a dungeon & some of the quest stories are pretty entertaining.
The only Guild Wars I played was the original. It was a fun game but it was weird to me that the only place you saw other people were in town hubs & if you grouped with others.
WoW I played for about 2-3 years straight. I gave up after the Lich King expansion came out as it became dull doing the same daily quests.
Then I go & watch the movie & went back to try it out again. LOL. But as the above post mention, it just doesn't feel fun anymore to me as it once did.
I just couldn't get into The Old Republic even though a bunch of my friends were playing it."In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully

Re: Official OS General MMO Information Thread
E3 brought me back around to checking out Elder Scrolls Online again, started over in that recently. Not sure what to think yet, just because I'm still relearning it.
Final Fantasy 14 has been my other, but I'm not active in endgame stuff anymore. I used to be, but then took a break. Working on slowly leveling up my other classes in there. Maybe one day I'll get back to doing endgame stuff, but until then I'm just taking it easy. Really enjoy most everything about that game. Only minor nitpicks with it.
Waiting to see more news on Pantheon (everything about that game seems right up my alley for the most part, being an EverQuest kid.) Same goes for Camelot Unchained and Crowfall. I have no hopes or expectations for those last two, but they are ones that I'll check out what's going on with them every week or two.
I'll also play Legion when it comes out, but who knows how long that will last.badComment

I'm thinking of getting back into FF14:Realm reborn. Loved it when I played it a couple years ago"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Official OS General MMO Information Thread
Been into two F2P ones, Warframe and Tera. Warframe I've played for about a year, love it. It's more of a "pay not to wait" game as you can get the in game currency easily. Tera on the other hand is big on gambling/cash shop for cosmetics.Comment
