Re: weekly poker game?
I play live whenever I can, usually every 2 months live. Since I'm not old enough to legally gamble, I'm stuck with freerolls in between. The 3 times I have played live I got a 2nd, 2nd, and 5th (1 place out of money). Won 10 bucks the first time, 120 the second game, and nothing the last one. I need to get some damned revenge on some bitches.Comment

Re: weekly poker game?
usually in our home games people will play something bad like 2-6 or 2-7 for a raise pre-flop and then rape when it hits. It's just something that happens and you have to get used to it whether you're online or at a home game.Comment

Sometimes you have to raise trash in late position when you're opening the betting. It makes it tougher for your opponents to put you on a hand, and you might even be able to get the blinds uncontested.Boston Red Sox l New England Patriots l Boston Celtics l Massachusetts Minutemen l Boston College EaglesComment

Originally posted by camulosWe do stuff like that too just because most raises/calls are based on spite rather than smart play. When you've been playing in the same game for along time you know the other players so well that you have to do something to spice things up.
that's the main reason... we know each other's games so well that we almost always know who has what and when they have it. and also a lot of times people will raise when a particular person is in the big blind. like one friend of mine raises every time i'm in the big blind no matter what he has cause he knows it makes me mad.Go Heels!

Re: weekly poker game?
I play pokerstars (freeplay) all the time and it's beginning to irritate me. I've never seen so many runner runner, and river hits in my life. Last night. I'm in a tourney down to the final two. I get K K. My opponent goes all-in and I call. He has A J unsuited. Flop goes by with nothing. So, there's 45 cards left in the deck and only 3 aces. What happens? As usual at pokerstars, he hits it. People go all-in constantly with crap and hit things on the turn and river too. I think it's teaching me to be a better player because I'm a lot more patient now. It just seems like people who are leading before the flop rarely win.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

i feel like that whenever i play anywhere... i almost feel like not callin an all in or going all in before the river and knowing i have the best hand because i have the worst luck of all time when it comes to races... or even having the best hand hold upGo Heels!

Re: weekly poker game?
I usually play 3 to 4 times a week. Buy-Ins are 25 buck with on rebuy for the first hour with blinds raising every twenty minutes. They're usually between 7-20 people depending on the day of the week, Hollidays, ect. Playing there is great the guy has three tables so if you get knocked out of the main game you can go to another table and play cash or start another tournament."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Re: weekly poker game?
ok i earlier in the thread i told about a bad beat of AK suited up against Q5 suited... i received a worse one last night. i am dealt pocket aces and i raised before the flop three times the big blind. this kid called me with 57 suited and he wasn't even in any blind. he hit two 5's on the flop and checked. i raised, he went all in, i called figuring there was no way he could have hit the flop. honestly the entire table of 9 guys said it was the worst play/beat they've ever seen.Go Heels!
