Originally posted by FootballForeverI love fish a lot, the reason I asked was, I'm changing my diet to all fish. I doing this for a little while, I want to stay away from meat and chicken right now. I hoping to lose another 20lbs, so I thought this would help.

Re: Fish Question (eating)
Exactly. I've replaced 95% of the red meat I eat with Chicken and Turky (burgers, spaghetti, even Hamburger Helper). It's so much leaner than Red Meat and so much easier on the ticker.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

I don't like grouper fish. Well, they're okay, I guess. They hang around star fish....Because they're grouper fish...

Re: Fish Question (eating)
I wouldn't recommend totally switching to fish, it would be good to keep poultry breast meat in your diet as well. Nearly all fish not raised in captivity contain traces of mercury, the older the fish the higher the presence of mercury in the fish. Of course mercury is toxic when ingested by humans, but the concentration in the fish that we eat we are talking very low. However, it is probably not the best thing to replace all meat in your diet with fish because of the mercury content. The epa has some good info on it that you might be interested in. LINK. Also check this article out, it talks about how concentrations of estrogen and chmicals that mimic it are causing male fish to grow female sex organs!LINK. In any case, fish is an extremely healthy choice to add to a diet and is as safe as anything to eat, just thought you might want to know about these things.

Fish is extremely good for you. The only fish you shouldn;t eat more than a few times a week is tuna and sword. There's a lot of mercury in those two.
You shouldn't be eliminating anyhting from your diet, period. Just cut what you eat in half. You need to eat everything but keep it in moderation and do some cardio for 45 minutes a few times weekly and you're golden.
Maybe I should try it!!
