CJ, I mentioned the terrible umpiring in the Braves/Astros series this past year in my post.Originally posted by cjonesfan9212005 NLDS Braves vs Astros, Game 4. Umps miss a completely obvious call where Julio Franco kept his foot on the bag and the Braves should have esacped and gone to Game 5. Complete BS. Okay maybe not the worst but still ticks me off.Comment

Music City Miracle, hands down. I don't care what ANY of you say, it was an ILLEGAL FORWARD PASS!!
I was just healing myself from those wounds and you opened them up again!
Seriously tho, I think the Refs didn't overturn the call on the field because those bombs in Tenn. would've rioted.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Worst Calls In Sports History
I just thought of one:
Chris Webber vs UNC in the 93 National Championship. Before he called the timeout, he had the VERY obvious walk coming up the court after the inbounds but apparently every ref was looking the other way.
Had Michigan gone on to win that game, that could've easily been one of the biggest blown calls in Sports history.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Well...even if Michigan HAD won the game....ya know...
I tend to think that Webber's timeout was just karma for the missed travel...that's my story and I'm sticking to it.Comment

Why does that make you sad, are you a Nebraska fan too?Originally posted by PsyblastAs for worst calls...how bout non-calls...like Nebraska vs. Missouri, 1997...NU ties it on a late TD that should not have counted since the ball was kicked up into the air...no call.

yep same here first bad call that came to mind.Originally posted by SquintThe Denkinger call was the worst in my opinion. It was the first thing that popped into my head when I read the title of this thread. It basically cost the Cardinals the world title.-JoshComment

I think the Saints' "FUMBLE" during their game against the Rams was just ********. I've seen worse, but Jesus.Originally posted by EWRMETSMaybe the best post in OS's history. If you don't think Tony Romo is a Hall of Famer, you support al Qaeda.Comment
