flowers for valentines day
Im looking for the best place or the best way to send flowers to my girlfriends work and have them there on valentines day. Im new to this kind of thing since prior to last year ive never had a girlfriend on valentines day, and last year my current girlfriend was working retail so I just got her flowers and gave them to her when we went to dinner. So I have no clue how to approach this, since ive never sent flowers anywhere before. I dont know when they have to be ordered by, whos reliable, and whats the best bargains since im pretty poor.
thanks.Tags: None -
Re: flowers for valentines day
I just use www.ftd.com every year. Roses are never cheap on Valentine's, but the longer you wait to order, the more the prices go up.
Not to mention if you go the long stem route, you'll be paying close to $60-$70. -

Alright thanks for that site...thats a great site, Also found some on hallmark's website....so I should have them delivered on the 14th...is there any special way to have them delivered in the morning rather than afternoon? or is it random?Comment

Re: flowers for valentines day
Regarding delivery time, it's random to the best of my knowledge. Although I've never tried to request a specific time. I just order online and they never asked for AM/PM delivery or a specific time. If you call, you might be able to request it - although I doubt it.
No I don't think that's too cheap or corny. You're still young so I wouldn't go overboard with a dozen long stem roses or something like that - at least I never did at that age.Comment

Otherwise, she'll think you guys are in a rut and want to talk about the relationship

Re: flowers for valentines day
Being the dork that I am, I'm not planning on getting my girlfriend flowers. I already bought her this:

I got her the mood one.

Re: flowers for valentines day
If you go to www.proflowers.com and click on the radio icon in the upper right hand corner, then put Dan (Dan Patrick listener special) in the box you can get a dozen long stem roses delivered for $50. That is what I'm doing for my wife.Comment

am I wrong though? or maybe I've just dated more sensible women? They'd rather me spend 20 bucks on flowers and then go do something fun with the other money than kick out 100 bucks on flowers.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: flowers for valentines day
I wouldn't say you're wrong....
I will tell you this... there is no greater way to win points with a woman but to send her something at work. Valentine's Day is a little passe`, but women are the most competitive creatures on the planet. You could send her a piece of **** with a bow on it and as long as it's delivered in front of "those bitches at work" you are THE MAN!
I try to do it once every month or so. It wins so many get out of jail free cards.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

Re: flowers for valentines day
Meh....the flower thing is so overrated. We as men need to come up with something better than some damn roses every single V's day. It also depends if you gf/wife likes flowers. Some women do, some women could give a damn. Would if your lady decided to buy you a pair of undies every Sweeties day, would'nt that piss you off? Flowers is a traditional thing no doubt but its also a cop-out for those who dont want to think of something special.
As for me, I'm getting my girl a big tin of carmel popcorn since its her favorite. Next year, I'm rolling with a specially designed strawberry cheesecake. Just put a little thought into the gift and you could save money and {CENSORED}....but most importantly, you'll save money.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Yea, I plan on taking the tin of popcorn up to her job and getting the mailroom to deliver it to her. Women do love when they get something at work. I cant believe you do it every month or so. *makes whipping sound*http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment
