You people that haven't seen snow are not missing anything.
Like hell! I would go insane if I couldn't ski (XC and downhill), skate, play hockey, ride snowmobiles and go sledding with my kids. I have five ski areas within 45 minutes of my front door. OK, they're not Aspen, but they're not backyard hills, either. I can XC-ski for 90 minutes through the woods right out my back door.

Winter is my favorite season. I sh*t you not.

    Take care,

And I'm driving to Atlanta tomorrow to spend the whole weekend with a lady friend.

        Re: I hate Yankee weather!!

I'd lose my mind if I didn't experience the four change of seasons every few months. The weather is one of my favorite parts of living in New England. 100 degree summer days, mounds of snow in the winter, the beautiful foilage in autumn, the mild warmth and bring sun of the spring. We're unique like that.

My only gripe about winter is that I can't play bball outside or go to the beach, but I have no problem taking a six month break from that stuff. But there's something cozy about sitting by a fire in your living room sipping hot chocolate with three feet of snow outside and the wind howling. It's a great atmosphere to get w. the ladies.

Plus winter is great motivation to get your butt to the gym cause there isn't anything else to do actively if you don't ski/snowboard/etc!

But I love it, I can never imagine living south or west of Philly.

          Completely agree.

The weather in New England, the four seasons and everything you mentioned, is what makes it so great to live up here. I mean...you can only go to the beach so many times...and can only go so long sitting outside in the 70 and sunny weather...

You'd be surprised, it's not that bad.

I wish it rained more though.

              Same here.

I mean, eventually i get tired of snow, and when it gets so cold that wind chills are -20 it isn't that fun, but generally I like the winter. I also like the summer, and fall and spring are probably my 2 favorite seasons. I like the variety.

                You keep your sunny weather...

I'll keep the foot of snow we're supposed to get this weekend, with 50-70mph winds and ****.

Yup, it's weird. At the end of every season I am always ready for the next - even when summer ends. Alot of people I know get despressed in the Fall when it starts getting darker, colder and the clocks get moved. But I love it, I'm always looking forward to the change. I'm still not sick of winter yet, but once college basketball ends and baseball gets into full swing I'm definately ready for the warmer weather.

Yup...I don't get why people hate winter.

It's such a perfect break from the rigors of summer and everything. Don't really know how to explain it, it's just very nice.

I don't get what the big deal is...it's just winter...wear a heavier coat and some jeans and you should be good to go.

Agreed. I can't imagine how lame Christmas would be without snow and cold.

Now don't get crazy...I'm not wishing this on anyone, my brother and his wife live in Hollywood Hills and I worry for him all the time. He could not stand the weather here in N.Y.C. though.
