I was driving about 15-20 MPH at the time. It's tough to get any faster than that on that sand. It's really soft....like sugar.

An update on the situation for you guys...

Geico totaled the car, no surprise there. They estimated the car's worth at $8900, so that's how much the check they're sending me will be. The payoff for my finance company is $7200, so I will wind up with around $1700 to play with as a down payment on a new vehicle.

Call me crazy, but I actually think I may look for another late 90's model Land Rover. I just loved that truck so much! Can't imagine driving (or floating) anything else.
