Two very different careers.

Most agents are lawyers. So you'll need to go pre-law and then pass the bar.

For a sports journalism career, you need to go to school for either journalism or mass communications with a concentration in journalism. There are some who didn't take that route and landed in sports writing, but they're usually at smaller papers or guys that started in the business 30 to 40 years ago as copy boys.

doesn't Northwestern have a really good journalism school? I seem to remember hearing Wilbon, and other sports writers have come out of there...

Im trying to find a list of top colleges that have majors in Marketing. Im not sure if SPORTS marketing is a major, but i know Marketing is a major in alot of places.

If you want to be an agent then go to law school and if you want to be a journalist then go to journalism school.

I don't think schools offer a Sports Marketing bachelor degree. My school recently introduced a Sports Marketing masters, but it isn't an undergraduate degree. A basic marketing degree is the first step.

Actually, from what I hear, Nebraska has a pretty well respected J-school. They actually offer a masters degree in sports communication (which is basically for sports marketing.)
