Please Say A Prayer For...
Please say a prayer for my dad. Today my dad suffered a mild stroke while at work, this is a scary time for us. He's only 56 yrs old, and my grandma passed away last May 2005 from a series of strokes over 4 years. I hope that my dad doesn't get anymore as he is too young for this, but it impacted his speech which is rather slurred now and his right eye just doesn't look good.
I'm rather scared, thanks everyone for your prayers.Tags: None -

Sorry to hear that man. I will send a prayer up for your dad and your family.
I know the shock you are going through as my dad just had a heart attack on Memorial Day(luckily it was minor and he recognized it in time to suffer no damage to the heart).S.O.S Crew

I'm going to be 29 next week, even the thought of possibly losing a parent at this young age kills me.Originally posted by VinceDefinitely will pray for him.

Re: Please Say A Prayer For...
Yes, thanks to him realizing that is what he was having. He was able to call 911, take an asprin, and get to the hospital in time. What was strange is that all the initial tests came back fine. The EKG, all the blood tests, etc. They wanted to run one more test and that meant having to transfer him to another hospital. Since the test could not be done until the next day, they decided to run another blood test and that when the enzymes showed up. His main artery was 80% blocked, another large one was 70% blocked and then a third smaller one was about 55% blocked. They did the ballon procedure and put a schint(schunt?) in the first two. The Dr said he would not worry about the 3rd one unless it was over 70% blocked. That was done Tues afternoon and he was released on Thursday. Dr said he could go back to work this past Monday but he had already taken 2 1/2 weeks leave for vacation and the Dr said it would be ok that he went so they are on the trip right now.Originally posted by candyman56Is your dad doing better?

Like I said earlier, I will continue to pray for your family and father and hope everything turns out for the best. Its times like these that make evrything else going on seem irrelevant.S.O.S Crew
