I've been drinking so much water I'm sick of it. I've drank some tea too, but its mostly been water. I'm sick of pain killers though. If I didn't need them because of this stint I'd got rid of em a long time ago. Being on them for 2 months straight, plus what the morphine and finigrin *sp* they shot me up with in the hospital has made me feel depressed, and "high" which is good sometimes, but I just don't have the energy to really do to much except read books, play CH2k7, or watch old Duke DVDs. I haven't been behind the wheel of a car in 2 months either. Nor have I been outside my house or the hospital. I bet when if I ever get better than I won't know what to do with myself or how the world has changed in these months that I've been stuck inside with nothing to do.President of the Devils Den

They do suck. I had one years ago. The thing that really sucks is "deferred pain". Guess which one of two particular body parts males have that the pain got deferred to!!!??!! I was grabbin' so hard I broke the zipper on my jeans! I was literally expecting to re-create the scene from Alien, but the little sucker wasn't exactly going to explode from my stomach! To make it worse, the hack semi-doctor in the local care center was already diagnosing me with torsion of the testicle. His comfort line was, "it's okay....many man can live with only one testicle." Yahhhh.....that's what you want to hear writhing in pain on the examination table! But it's amazing how small these things can be to the corresponding pain they can cause.Comment

My kidney doctor said it wasn't. It has water in it too which helps make the kidney flush out. Now if you lace it with tons and tons of sugar it's probably not that good for you. I drink Sweet Tea but not lace it with sugar like a lot of people do when they make Sweet Tea.President of the Devils Den

It all depends on what kind of stones you are prone to. Calcium oxalate crystals are formed from oxalate which is in tea leaves and milk/ice cream/cheese. Diddy, I hope you get well soon. I have had a few bouts with these devils as well. The first time was when I was a senior in high school. I came home from football practice and had the most excruciating back pain ever. I go to the bathroom and urinated what looked like pure blood. I was freaking out, and when my mom rushed me to the hospital they made the diagnosis based on the cat scan showing several stones. I missed about three weeks of football, and had to walk around with that stupid stint for about a week. The last bout I had occured about a year ago right before the birth of my son. I was playing MotoGP, and started to have intense back and groin pain. I tried to urinate, but was unable to do so. I began to feel really nauseas, and started to dry heave. When I got to the hospital my blood pressure was really high, and because of my size (6'5 330) they were worried that I might be having a heart attack or a stroke. I knew it was a kidney stone, and politely told the nurse that if she would just start the i.v. with some pain meds that I would be just fine. Two days later the stone passed and I've been free and clear since. I can't imagine how scared you must be, but know that we are all pulling for you.Comment

Well I woke up today with horrific back pain, and I knew immediately what was going on. I squrimed around for a few hours before I had my wife bring me in to the ER for some relief. The CAT scan revealed a 3.5mm stone, and I was sent home with some groovy pain meds. I hope that you guys who have never experienced this never have to.Comment
